Looks nice but I say replace the woodgrain with actual highbeams like it should have. Just my 2 cents.

I think e21's look much better without any rear spoiler. The design flows and looks very European. Overall I am jealous of you're car, It's quite clean , and a nice color.

So I've been saving for a new M20B27 and at the last minute the guy pulled out as he needed the engine still - so I've decided to stick with the original M10 and upgrading the cams + carburetors, double weber kit - exhaust manifolds, should come back around 150hp! fingers crossed

It's been a while since I've posted any updates on here, so I'll hit you with some slow boring news...yay!
Recently I've been saving for webers to be installed, it was going so well I had around $300 left to pay and it would've been setup and sounding pretty when the worst of the worst happened.. my head gasket fucked out.

I took it to a local radiator specialist to have a good look at the cooling side of things and he thought it was the thermostat (before sending it to him I looked up online to see if this was a common problem, it was), so I decided to order in a new thermostat. Seeing as I'm living in New Zealand, parts from Germany take around 1 week depending on what part it is and of course it had to be genuine. After waiting for the part to arrive and be installed/tested the results came back negative! It was still over heating so we decided to check out the water pump, it was destroyed!

After looking at the water pump I was almost certain that was the problem, I was wrong again.
With the new waterpump installed it was still running hot, so on to the tk test, this time while it was running hot - it came back positive for a beggared gasket!

After spending a shit load of money having all my cooling parts replaced I now decided to give up and buy a new M10. I found one online which had only done 160,000 km compared to my current 275,000 engine. I bought the engine for a great price and booked it in to be installed straight away.

During the install process I had a phone call from the mechanic to say the previous owner had welded the bolts and manifold to the engine! This was an issue that needed to be sorted before installing the new engine and upgrading to webers etc. Once I picked the engine up I was presented with a list of other problems which had gone wrong with the engine while being installed - The cost of the install had almost doubled..

Now I have the new 1.8 M10 running everything is going well, no over heating, running smooth, sounding great!

Next update will be with the webers..

                    Cheers.
