  • Brickyard red S2000

Some of you have seen this S before. It belonged to Chris Amodei, of Ivy League East. I bought it Sept 29th and drove, horribly, from LI,NY to OCMD and had an absolute blast at H2Oi. Can't wait till next year. I don't have too many plans for this car as it's kind of a (very large) stepping stone for me as I begin to save for my dream B5S4.

That being said, I adore this car. It's got lots of spunk and puts a smile on my face every time I drive it. I really can't wait to get it to a point where I have it the way I want.

Down to business...here are some shots of it before I had it, and how some of you will know the car. All props to Chris on this.

    My favorite setup he had

If you want to see more, just look up brickyard red S2000. It's the only one out there AFAIK.

on the way home from H2Oi...4x4

    and my most recent picture.

Still sitting stock at the moment. Coilovers are sitting in my trunk waiting for my wheels to come so I can get everything installed and get the car aligned. Needs it very badly.

I currently have an Invidia N1 dual exhaust and test pipe as well as DC Ceramic headers sitting in my room right now. Those are getting installed Thursday Ordered plastidip to protect the paint from crap ohio winter and it should be here tomorrow. Does anyone with experience with plastidip know if I should wax my car before dipping or should I leave it alone?

The stock speakers on hondas suck so I bought a Parrot Asteroid head unit and some JL component speakers to upgrade a bit and I have a hardtop coming in a month or so. Wheels are coming but I have no idea when. Waiting for the guy to send them

I'm also looking to upgrade the plastics in the car to something a little nicer. Then I'll probably stop spending money on this pig for a while.

Debating whether or not to get the license plate BRIK SQD. I named the car Waka Flocka. No, I don't like him, but i find it hard to use a different name with a paint color like brickyard

What wheels and coils are you putting on it? It looks very clean. I think that color looks better on an S2K than a 350Z haha

                  Update

the good: My plastidip came in!
the bad: I hit and killed a dog tonight on the way home. One of the worst moments of my life. I love dogs like I love my family. Pretty fucked up that after all the animals I've missed while driving, the first one I hit is my favorite. I cried, I'll admit it. I feel like shit about it.

So it screwed up my bumper. need to decide whether to fix it or pick up an ASM bumper. I'll probably pick up the ASM and delay the plastidip for a few weeks.

I'd be in the same boat man, nothing to be ashamed of.

I loved this car when Chris had it, and truly look forward to where you take it. Sounds like you're on the right track.

Love that color but those poor fenders! I have a GPW that I am keeping very functional.
What hard top did you get? I pre-ordered the amuse rep that rockstar garage is making

what's wrong with the fenders? The work done on them is top notch and they look fantastic. I LOVE gpw. there's a stock gpw ap2 on my campus that looks absolutely pristine. I ordered the Forbidden Mugen style hardtop in 2x2 carbon fiber

The transition of the pull from the from the front of the fender looks pretty abrupt. And it could just be the light in the one picture, but the picture with the NUE's the rear quarter looks pulled funny. I only am being critical since it was fully resprayed, probably just the pics though. Its a beautiful color

Please don't plastidip it. The best way to keep the paint nice over the winter is clean it often and put a high quality wax on it. Maybe grab some mudflaps to protect from salt and such.

I will forever loathe plastidip. It's not meant to be used on automotive paint. The concept is cool for household items/tools but not cars.
