^might have new c5 z06 wheels soon. Best part is.. they're free! And thanks i'm doing what i can with the civic but it needs quite a bit of work still.
Wow, amazing how much of a difference a drop and wheels made on that EG, wish I would have seen that thing rolling around. It looks pretty cool for a daily beater.
Btw, I just read your post about being in the engineering field. My boss at Coan is kind of a strange dude and very sporadic with his hiring process. If your interested in a job up there all I can say is stop in one day and talk to him, that's what I did.

I'll definitely have to do that, thank you for the heads up! And yea, the wheels were awesome but the ride was absolutely horrid. If i went with that far of a stretched tire again it'd have to be on air ride
FINALLY got my buddy to order a set of coilovers. Got them in his golf the other day, slammed it all the way down to check clearance and immediately raised it up for the snow. Can't wait till spring!
This was my photoshop hack job that convinced him to buy the coils:
Clearance slammed:
Shitty picture:
And a RARE picture of his hands getting dirty (asked me to take it so he could convince people he helped lol):
More updates on the SS and EG as soon as spring rolls around. For now debating on what set of wheels to use on the EG next... Thoughts?
Burnout in my 1996 Impala SS. Ends up rolling through 1st, 2nd, and ends up in 3rd gear before the roll and holds throughout. Nice to have the power back!!...
Is there a kit or some way or has anyone ever tried to center the rear axle on these things? I've always liked the look of them but the rears being so far forward has always bothered me
oh yea you need extended upper & lower control arms, and a longer DS. Plenty of options, none of which are cheap. That's the only reason they aren't centered now but they will be with the new wheels. They were forward because back in 91-93 the caprice had rear fender "skirts" and they were designed so that the wheels were centered. When they changed the design in 94 GM apparently didn't want to just redesign the control arms to make it look better. Corner cutting
Car still looks great, I like what you did with the head lights.
I kind of wish the black was broken up a bit more though, like getting some cheap egay chrome tail lights and tinting them red or something for a more modern look.
Eh i'm not totally against the all black look. It's grown on me very quickly.
To get more of a "modern" look I've been looking into smoothing out the body. The one piece lights are a perfect start. Going to Altezza style rear tails and blacking those out will get the rear lights smooth. Next would be the front and rear smoothie bumpers, and the trunk with an integrated spoiler instead of a bolt on one. Those are all starts. Really would like to ditch the vette wheels and go with some black work meister s1r wheels
