Nice progress since the last time I chimed in. How many coils did you end up removing in all? How many would have "been enough" in hindsight?

Thank you, I don't remember how many I cut, both pretty much literally in half. If I did it again I'd probably take 1/2 to 3/4 less coils off on all corners if I didn't want any rubbing issues

this is true haha i know my fenders are rolled to shit and i still rub but you can only go so far. less rubber equals more clearance haha

So I haven't had much heat coming through my vents and with it getting colder it was pissing me off. So I decided to look into it more. Replaced my thermostat first, all that did was allow my temps to go up quicker (which is okay I guess?) so I tore into my heater control valve and the rubber boot was all stretched out and wouldn't seat properly, and the screen was all clogged up. I ordered a new one, hopefully it ends my dilemma. Crappy ipad photo for the helluvit.

Then i decided to tear into my manual to make sure I was actually operating the hvac controls properly. They don't give you many clues on the dash for what does what hahaha I thought it was cool how many records were still in the glove box, and there were even more maintenance and repair records... Looks like the car was purchased from zipper bmw in Beverly Hills, CA. Kinda cool to know where it came from

Ha! Thanks man, They do look pretty good for what they are. The rears rubbed pretty bad just above the rolled fender lip inside the fender well ( a combination of being too low and too aggressive.) I took a heat gun and hammer to them last night and got a lot of it to go away. At least with a half tank and only me riding in it. I can bitch about the rubbing all I want but I know I wouldn't want it any less aggressive or any higher. It just looks to good

So my friends came to me after work today and said "hey, let's go get some rolling shots!" So here's the outcome....My friend is the driver haha.



Not too bad considering I really don't know what I'm doing. But It's always fun to watch your car drive down the road Got my bmw centercaps on too!
