Thanks, I don`t have any interesting updates, I towed the car to a shop to get the hose replaced, get a general service and a front oil seal replaced. I should be ordering the air ride stuff next week and I wanna start restoring the stock hub caps as a couple had the paint peel off. I sketched the trunk lay out, I`ll scan that later.

I'm having second thoughts about those rims...I'll be restoring the caps for sure since I need to get some small things painted. D&W's Merc looks perfect, but its a bigger W108 model. I'll take some time to do a proper photoshop pic first. I need tires with a white stripe too.

thanks for the compliment man. i can see what your thinking is with the supremes, i am not sure as I am so used to seeing them on muscle cars or 80's hot rods here in the states. would cost a fortune to ship over from cali! a real lowrider look is also wire wheels, and mercedes had some dayton wire's which come up for sale every so often that were fitted to some old benz' back in the day.

personally i love the caps but I do like it when people try out some new ideas.

Not really a stance update, on Sunday I went to a local classic car Grand Prix where I got to hang out with some old friends and make new ones. The blue 115 was about to be scrapped but the current owner picked it up for free and restored it,



This thing was immaculate

Thanks for the nice comments, I felt very lucky finding this car. I have a short update, today I started looking for parts to fix the alternator and hose, I asked a couple of German parts stores, but they answered with "oh yeah we had that stuff back in the day". Luckily I stopped by a local mechanic who was happy to help me out since he hasn't worked on a W115 in a long time and has some NOS parts stored. I'll probably tow the car to his shop and get the alternator, hose and a crank oil seal that leaks when warm (the previous owner gave me a new part) done. I also want to ask his opinion about a noise that I think is an rattling trust bearing. I usually do my own fixes on cars, but I rather let someone with experience fix it quickly.

I'm terrible at keeping secrets, I'm thinking of putting these rims on it, I still have to order them from the States, or if someone knows of a supplier in Europe drop me a line, I'm thinking 15x7 with spacers to adapt a pcd in inches to metric

Supremes, good choice. I had a set of 15's but I sold them already. 14's would look even better maybe with some Coker or Premium Sportways 5.20's mounted.
Sweden has a pretty big lowrider scene, also in Germany and the Netherlands things are happening so maybe you should join layitlow.com and join the Europe Riders topic.

Not sure about the wheels, but I feel like they could work.

I need to take a side picture of mine and photoshop the rims, in the pic I posted they look a bit odd...here's a quick one I did earlier. I like the clean lowrider "los boulevardos" look, but without a crazy paint scheme.

I owned a bug with repro fuchs before and I saw this, with all due respect I don't feel they work that well, maybe because I'm so used to seeing them everywhere.
