They're really well made, I'd definitely recommend them if you're looking for an easy way to mount everything. I can't compare the compressor mount against anything else but it seems like it would decrease noise quite a bit.

The tolerances for the tank mounts are really tight though, I'll have to shave them down to get it to fit if I have the tank painted.

And thanks! That's high praise! They need a lot of work but there's definitely potential once you get rid of the awful US spec bumpers.

Both of those items on the list. Removing the bumperettes is simple, I just need a new piece of rubber trim for the bumper. The euro headlights I've been searching for ever since I bought the car in May. They're hard to find for a decent price.
i love the bumperettes, they add some flare to the bumpers. don't get rid of them.

take some pics of the brackets, excited to how they come out considering we have the same front end parts.

I sent them a link to your build and a few of the other classic mercedes builds, so I'll be curious as to what they come up with too. My guess is it'll be pretty similar to D&W's setup.

The bumperettes look great from some angles (sig pic) but look awful from others (side profile).

yes they're going on shortly, I just need to get new logos for them then they're ready to go

I've also decided, after much deliberation, that I'm going to leave this car static. So my air management will be going up for sale soon if anyone is interested. It's the e-level setup with the rocker switch. I also have the exo mount system.

This will look just incredible. I see your signature all the time, and finally found your build thread!

I assume you'll attend H2O this fall, can't wait to see the completed product in person!

I'm going to try to get there this year for sure. Unfortunately it falls right on top of my wife's birthday, so that will make things tricky. I'm trying to convince her to come with me.

What are your new plans for suspension?
I was really excited to see this thing laying frame.

find shorter shocks, tuck the exhaust, raise the engine and get it as low as possible.

In the end, I just didn't want to do something so expensive to a car I was already enjoying as is. I don't have a good network of car people here and the only shop I found to do the work was 4 hours away and didn't really deal with custom air installs. If the suspension failed, I'd be fucked. This is better for me just for peace of mind.

It'll definitely be a lot easier, and cheaper, to build a nice static setup.
What work were you going to have the shop do?

custom fabricate mounts for the bags, weld them into place, relocate the rear shocks and install my ride height sensors.

on the plus side, now I can focus more on finding some of the euro bits that I still need

Noooooo It needs the bags. It would be so incredibly classy all laid out. I still like it either way. I guess...

well I've gone back and forth on it constantly for oh, since H20 ended. Literally week to week I would change my opinion on whether I wanted to go through with it or not. But in the end, I'm happy with it as is and the money can be put to much better uses, namely our garage.

and since my 40D just kicked the bucket recently, I went and upgraded my camera, so some of it will help to boost my checking account.
