the engine bay before i did anything...

and some random picks while taking apart... some are for my reference for putting stuff back together, but i decided to throw some in anyway...

    Lots of crusty

I was wondering where that exhaust leak was coming from...

and how it sits now, ready for the engine to be pulled.... hopefully friday she'll be out

Thanks for all the positive feed back guys... sorry if its been a little while since theres been an update... ive been at school and not able to work on the cabby at all...

anyway i acquired some new parts for her

got a hip fog light because i found it for really cheap...

Got my carbs!! weber 40 dcoe dual side draft carbs, i decided to go down to 40's rather than 45's since the 45's would be over kill

Also picked up my camshaft, it's a tt 288 solid lifter cam... supposedly was in a race car along with the carbs...

and in other news i finally got my scooter together that ive been working on in school for the semester

    before:

after... still needs paint, still only in primer, but its getting there:

also lifted up the rear of the e34 a little to get rid of the anti rake

and hopefully picking up these wheels for her this weekend so i can get off the damn baloon tires

thats all i got for now, when i go home for break the tear down begins so stay tuned...

Nice collection! Cabby is nice and simple. Sucks about the e28 though.

started a topic My Cabby Build

    My Cabby Build

Been lurking on here for quite a while now, and i figured i should make a thread for my cabby.

When i first brought her home she looked something like this

140k on the clock, and still running like a champ

Interior was pretty minty as well

Drove it for a while stock hight, since it was my first car and everything, and my friend used it in a short film

    Bought some coils

Started to try out some wheels, first was some Maserati bi turbo wheels, but the 4x98 bolt pattern was too annoying for me

So i picked up some american racing saw blades and ran those for a while

Got some plastic euro bumpers and threw them on

Eventually i found someone that wanted to trade the Maserati wheels for a set of 4x114.3 15x7 ronal turbos

Got some adaptors and gave them a test fit

Put some federal 165/45/15's on them

It needed to go lower in the rear, so we pulled the rear fenders a little more and lowered it a little more

Got a wolfsburg wheel and shift knob as well

    As she sits now

    Future plans are:
-twin webber idf 44 down draft carbs
    -TT 288 cam
-TT high flow valve kit with titanium retainers
    -Shaved bay
    -Full re spray (same color)

thats all i got for now, heres a couple of the other cars i have...

    My e34 daily beater

and the e28 which was hit by a firetruck and deemed totaled by insurance because of all the rust issues...
