cheers for the comments , car should be going away for the winter soon then i can get the suspention re done and the wheels fitted etc ready for the new year !

Since that he's low, having HD can still cause bottoming out. I'd recommend getting Bilstein sports instead. Btw, how are the 2 w201's? I haven't seen any updates on your cars for a while haha.

that's true, although i think the black car is a little lower than his and my HD's haven't bottomed out yet.

Very nice car. I've been trying to find a 5 speed 190E but they are very hard to find around here. And the two that I did find were beat up. Trying not to settle for an automatic.

well considering only two companies make coilovers for the 190e, and they're priced at $1500 and $2500 USD, i can see why he cut the springs.
OP, if you get some 400e or 500e springs and cut them, paired with billistein HDs you will have a much nicer ride. the higher spring rate makes them ideal for cutting and still retaining a nice ride. many people track with cut 400e springs, as they have a higher rate than even the stiffest aftermarket 190e lowering spring.
