I drove it! Still have a lot of tuning to do but she's already ripping through second. Here's a highway pull, third through 4thish
and some pics
First time she's left the neighborhood in 6 months It was so awesome to drive it. I just need to fix the alternator and i'll be street tuning all this and next week before my first KMS competition next saturday.
Things to do:
Alignment
Ride height
Fenders
Corner balance
Alternator
Lights
Weld passenger seat bracket
Tires
Flip last wheel
Cut sunroof out
Fire extinguisher
Think that's it.

So I got the fenders mostly done this weekend. They look good so far. Still need grinding filling and some paint. But here are some pictures. Wide angle makes it look goofy.
Inspected my new mounts, Totally forgot to paint them, so I did this.
No more rust. And now for some pics with the bump
And my friend, (happens to be a ballin fabricator) got upset at how ghetto my intake tubing was and made this out of some scrap intercooler piping. Not bad for 15 minutes worth of work. Haha
KMS drift is going to go down this weekend, Things finished are as follows.
Adjust ride height
Paint spindles
Move coil
Wire Lights
Fenders
Intake
Oil change
Cover battery
Things left to do,
Paint lower side skirt things
Weld passengers seat bracket down
Relocate Megasquirt
Tune
Finish mounting tires
Finish last wheel
Mount front tires and try to balance wheels
Alignment (Friday)
Weld exhaust end
Cut front bumper, more
Finish cleaning car
Wire temp gauge light (night event)
Beat inner fenders in
Fire extinguisher
That should do it. I've got a lot to do, but I'm slowly knocking it all out.

Did my first event this weekend in 8 months. I got right back into it and qualified 6th in my first ever competition. Sadly I lost to the guy who got second in the first round. But Me and my friend austin in his e30 killed the tandem game at the end of the day. Here are some pictures that a friend of mine shot.
and a video and another video.

Alright guys, the time has come to make a big decision. I'm going to turbo something this winter and I don't really know which route to take. The car is awesome. The chassis is staying. There is no way I'm selling this thing or moving to an e36 and definitely not going to an e30 I don't want to drive a stick of butter. So now the question is down to motor choice. I've been running this through my head for two days straight now and it's like getting punched by Chuck Liddell, while falling off a bridge, into a furnace, full of alligators, with machine guns. I have no idea what I want to do. So I started this diagram and I'm going to ask what you guys think in the hopes of some good incite.
Next up is most likely one of my last events before the car goes back under the knife. Here's my prep list. Not all of it has to get done, but i'm hoping to get it all.
and last a stupid picture of myself at a car meet.

SWD is next weekend so I tore the car down again to replace a bunch of gaskets and do a valve adjustment. After I ripped everything apart I decided to do some cleaning. Going to clean the bay today but engine and accessories got cleaned last night. I've run the intake manifold through the parts washer like 5 times today. It's starting to look pretty good. Going to paint it tonight.
My intake valves looked to be in excellent shape. I'm very impressed for 220,000 original miles.
Cleaned the head. Looks pretty good.
painted the valve cover again. I was tired of the blue. This came out great. It has a metallic fleck in it and it looks awesome in direct light.
Spark plug wires are disgusting and they won't clean up.
I finished my engine bay up. Cleaned it and moved the last of the wires out of the way. When I order the DIY autotune harness I'll loom everything and tuck it away even more. It looks so much cleaner.
I spent basically all saturday welding things on the car. I fixed a few exhaust holes, added another exhaust hanger so it doesn't fall off again. I spent forever reinforcing the fenders and lining the front bumper back up. It now sits straighter than ever.
Also fixed my wheel to fender clearance issues.
Then I chopped up my euro bumper and made it fit. So happy to have it back on. It makes the car look so much more normal.
Last things to do are tires and I'm ready to roll.

Found a few pictures from the event last weekend. Nothing special. My car doesn't smoke at all. I need camber adjustment in the rear so bad. I'm destroying tires on the insides. But on another note, I looked into (with some help from SLR) finding options for suspension swaps. I have found the e90 IX front suspension uses the same front suspension system as the e28 and the arms are steel. Which could allow me to run A: E90 front brakes and knuckles, but B: a steering rack. Which would make a huge difference in angle. The arms also appear to have a bit more curve to them which would allow more clearance. Only issue might be price. But i'll have to see.
