Those are euro bumpers. They just don't have the covers on them and they're painted black.

    Time for a happy update!

I finally fixed all of my vacuum leaks!
It''s a long story that pissed me off but eventually got better.

So I went to the dealer, picked up my new intake boot, vacuum line, and motor mount.

Then proceeded to swap the new boot in. Here's the nast old one. It had cracks everywhere.

Then while I was messing around examining all my vacuum line I found this. The fuel pressure regulator ran to well, no where. You can see my new intake boot hooked up

Then I looked under the manifold to try and find where it hooked up and found this laying on the block.

So being relatively new to E28s I didn't know that all of these lines hooked up underneath the manifold. I finally found all the plugs on the bottom and realized the interior air sensor was also unplugged. So about 15 minutes later all of it was plugged in with brand new vacuum line and what do you know! The car runs like a champ.

Today was the first day I really got to experience what an M30 can do. My car is so much faster and the power band is well, actually a power band. It's so much more fun to drive.

I can't wait to get home and tackle the motor mount and lower control arms.

Yeah good point. Probably should have mentioned it. Next time I weld anything I'm going to use gas.

I finally spent that gift card. Got a new intake boot, all new vacuum line, a new trunk badge, andddddd....... A new motor mount. Lol $35 after my employee discount. Lol saved so much moneys! I'll hopefully be getting all of it tomorrow. That'll give me some stuff to do over my break.

Good to see some more local 5ers, that plate is awesome. Will you be in Raleigh/Chapel Thrill in the next month?

Any details on that roof rack?? I really want to fashion a surfboard rack for my 9' single fin, and all I need is 2 cross bars that I can wrap some foam around. Let me know if you get tired of it! :P
I would love your satin bottle caps. If they're free

And yeah i'll be back for winter break soon. If you want to meet up somewhere.

The rack is made from red oak I got at home depot. It took me a whole day of work total to get it together but it's not that hard. I used a drill press to make sure everything was exact. Buy all the wood and hardware and i'll do it for you.
