This is most likely the last update I do before 2013. Every single day, I post what I've done on the car and today it came out the paint booth. Back on the lift and without wasting any time, I passed my fuel lines. For the lines I used 5/16 Refrigeration Copper.
One of my buddy that moved from Montreal to Socal came to visit. He works at a junk yard so he brought me done a 740 3.5 MAF.

      • Yeah, that snow.... My back is killing me

How is it to work with that copper tube? Is it hard to bend? One of my buddies actually suggested I run copper for my fuel lines also

Can't wait to see this thing on the streets this summer

Some people say that the 3.5 inch MAF doesn't give any power or make any difference with the way the engine runs. Others say that the only way it can make a slight difference is with Cams, Tune and Exhaust. Since I'll have all three I said why not put it. I got it as a gift from a buddy and it would be rude not to use it. Beside it gives something add on my "mod" list.

I can't wait to hear it start and see it finally roll on it's own.
Concerning the copper pipping, it isn't extremely hard to bend or work with. I am a Refrigeration Mechanic so I have a lot of experience with copper and know how to control it without kinking. It comes in a soft roll of 50 feet but once you start bending it, it becomes rigid.

That was my goal from the day I began this project. I love the feel and look of a E30 and decided to bring this back to life.

Thank you! I'm really glad with the bay. The color does look amazing in person mostly. I had the chance to bring my rad support outside last week and with the sun, the color just glows.

Well first post of 2013. Wishing you all a very happy new year. Now lets get this thing rebuilt shall we.

With my brake lines waiting in the shop, I wasted no time and started placing them starting by the rear. Tried to pass them the best I could and very happy with the result.
Once those were on, I connected the MID SECTION SS LINES. When the car was stripped, I found that only one mid line was stainless so a brand new pair were ordered from ECS.

After that, I attacked the rear subframe since everything was prepped and ready. It all went well with a buddy helping me out. We placed that dolly that it was laying on onto two wooden palettes just raise it off the ground a little higher. Once we got it lined up, everything bolted up beautifully.

Next on the agenda is to finish the brake lines to the front and air ride lines.

Can anyone tell me if this is normal? The flange isn't in the center of the subframe.

                        • Wheel Test fitment after having my fenders rolled when the wheel wells were done and now that I have the subframe on.

                          Normal ride height.

                          Aired out height.

                              FRONT BAGS ARE ORDERED

Getting closer and closer to dropping in the engine. I am excited but still haven't lost focus and doing things good once and move on. Since I'm still waiting on some parts to arrive from BMW, I placed the rest of my brake lines towards the front. They'll have to come down to make the bubble flares and maybe even paint them black.

Also the master connected with my UUC SS clutch line.
