Great diary of the build and things done to the car - With all the space available when the rad support is removed, it'd tempting to only weld it back in after the engine went in.

        Keep it up!

Thank you very much. You shaved your bay the same way?

Ive been thinking about setting it up in a way that I can bolt it up. It'll probably get welded anyways before I drop the engine as everything needs to go on primer and paint.

Well since cars don't like being winter driven, my 318is showed signs of it. The driver frame rail was rotted and so was the floor. Passenger side was "alright" but still needed work to be perfect. My body guy cut out what was rusted and welded thick metal to repair the floor/frame rail. Also the jack points were crap so those too were done. Here are some before and after pics.

Look what the UPS guy brought me today
Air House 2 bags for the rear. This way I can modify the trailing arms before sending them to out sandblast / powder coat.

Thank you. Well the fuse box is going to remain where it is but for the wire tuck, its fairly easy and I'll be posting pics of it when the time comes
Im actually going to get rid of the NRG steering wheel as I've set my eyes on a NARDI

Thanks a lot and yes I'm building the car at Strasse Autowerks in Montreal. This project is mine as well as the garage.

The pick and pull scrap is called KENNY U PULL. Check them out on line at www.kennyupull.com. They have a few places. The one I go to is in Laval.
There will be many more updates as I am working on the car every single day.

                      Thanks for the hint!

Didn't know you were the owner! Heard a lot of good things about your shop! Now Im even more excited to see the final result of your build

Maybe I will pass by for some tips when I will be ready to bag my car!

Loving your build man. Hopefully one day I can do the same once I buy an E30 of my own...

Thanks everyone for the support. I will be posting more updates shortly as I've been busy thinking about other potential things to do to this car so work has been slow.

After opening a thread asking about Crossmember Reinforcement, I got some comments saying that M42 crossmembers are more likely to crack. I wire wheeled around the mount points and found that one side was already starting to crack. Had to do something about it. Instead of purchasing a made kit, I took the thickest piece of sheet metal I could find at the shop, cardboard paper and got to work. Made an outline quick quick and modified it on the fly. They came out alright.Hopefully they do the job. Had them welded and also freshened up some spots.
