Sorry for leaving everyone hanging. I crashed the car into a wall.
Just kidding. lololol
The car is finished. It’s beautiful.
She purrs like a jungle cat.
And I have a ton of updates, which I would love to share, but unfortunately I’m at the Air Force Academy, and I can only have my phone on the weekends, my phone has all the pictures and videos. The car is back in California in my parent’s garage.
I know, this is a tease, but I’ll get my phone back Friday night and email the pictures to this computer where I can post them. They have a ridiculous security setup to where if I plug in any drives or usbs the computer will lock down, so I’ll see what I can do.
I appreciate anyone who followed my thread; the wait was worth it.
Standby.

It's a sweet gig.
Plus, it's a fully paid for education, guranteed job, and I'm being paid to be here.

Back in Business
I've been trying to get my password reset for a while to no avail, so I just had to come back with an original username.
Long story short,
• Moved out to Colorado
• Military wouldn’t allow us to own cars in my program for the past few years
• Now I can have a car again
• Just trailered ol’ girl out in July.
• Way easier to get it smogged out here.
So, I have the car out here, plated, took off all the smog accessories, she runs great.
I got some stuff to take care of tonight, but I wanted to get back on the thread with a solid update.
Got some pictures out at Garden of the Gods the other day.
I’ll try and get another update soon with some engine/performance stuff I’m working on.
Thanks for the support and patience if any of the OGs are still around.

looks incredible, my man! You're much farther along with your build at 17/18 years old than I was haha.
Keep up the good work, buddy! Some people will never understand it, why we do what we do.

Running a little rich at altitude and without all the smog crap. I plugged up the smog recirculator with a wine cork.
No AC/Heat just to keep the bay nice and opened up.
The permatune box on the left is a source of some electrical issues, so I''ll be switching over to an MSD unit soon, i just need to find a magnetic pickup distributor, as I'm still running points.

It’s the little things which are most frustrating.
For the past few weeks, I couldn’t keep the trunk closed, or up.
It would fall under the weight of the turbo tail, and would unlatch when I went over bumps.
I thought about removing the tail, and going flat, but I had an extra lid shock, so I took inspiration from this.
Ace hardware, 6 bucks, and 20 minutes later, I had a solid strut, and with some minor adjustments of the 10m trunk locking mechanism, we were perfectly flush.
