Alright I know I said more on Monday but I got home pretty late and haven't really had time since then to update.
Ok well the first thing I have to say is that I am pretty sure that in the day these things were Swedish Mercedes.
Now onto the update:
A little more on how I bought the car. When I showed up to purchase the car, not only was the key in the ignition locked in the car but once AAA showed up to open it, the car wouldn't start. The owner assured me that it would start right up if we replaced a fuse (which I later found out when to the rear window defroster...
). So once we did that and it still wouldn't start I was feeling pretty bad about it. Then he said that the previous owner gave it to him because it caught fire because of some wires in the engine bay. Low and behold there was a whole string of wires that had the insulation completely corroded away. So after about an hour of taping these up at 11:30 pm we finally got the car started. I payed him $400 and we drove home.
heres the wires now:
OK well I got some new license plate lights from a PnP awhile back and they worked when just hooked up to a battery but when I installed them they wouldn't work
. So I figured the problem must've been in the wiring somewhere along the car.

Now I don't know about you but I don't see any wires even going into the hatch, but the wiper works perfectly. At first i thought it was some magic wizardry then I took a closer look at the only two connections of the hatch the the car, and there they were.

I want to meet the guy who thought of putting those there because those are just bound to break, and they did. So now I gotta figure out how the hell I am going to fix that.
I took one door of and the hood and the face of the car... Mom wasn't too happy about that, she said it would never go back together. But how else am I going to paint it
.

Oh and the car sounded really loud when we bought it and I just figured it was normal because my grandpa said thats how old Volvos sound...

I'm no expert but I don't think that is normal.
I took the roof rack off and there was rust under pretty much every spot it attached to the roof. This is the worst one:

OK well that is it for now. Next step is prep for paint once I get all the rest of it taken apart if mother allows
