If anyone ever needs a skid plate for E30 with M20 engine - here's a nice design of a skid plate.
Found it somewhere over the internet.
Use any metal you want, as long as its thick enough.
Ok, so if anyone is still interested - here's the progress for the last few weeks.
There were a few days with nice weather so went out and install the coilovers.
Atm only on the front - it became dark really fast and the next day bad weather stroke again..
Here's the a photo while having a coffee break:
After letting them settle for a few days - this was the result:
Currently they are fully maxed out, to go lower i would have to cut the bottom spring plates. Since i still got winter tires - i cant turn my wheel to full lock anymore...
Also doing that i installed a skid plate, so i don't have any problems with the oil pan anymore
Oh, and since my fenders were rusty and curved - it was easyer to get new ones than to fix those.
So today i got this:
Hopefully i will install the rear coils this weekend, and then, sometime soon i will install the fenders. Need to make a mold for them so i can make some more in the future
Cheers~
As far as i remember the only thing that changes for mtech 2 is the molding, right?
Nah, their the same as stock ones, just not steel but fiberglass. Have no plans for mtech 2 atm. Gotta try and make myself a reiger front lip this summer
Thats doesen't look right, right?
Well i installed the rear coilovers, might aswell call my car monster truck atm.
Hope they settle good..
Currently the front is all the way down, without cutting the spring plates. If i cut them i can go even lower. My skid plate is 3cm from the ground atm
The rear is also all the way down, just that the shocks didnt settle yet.
Next - making the body look good. I got myself two black rear doors so i can fix mine and also got front fiberglass fenders
Need to fix all the rust i found and il be good
You can take one of the rear adjusters out, but it'll settle a bit anyway so wait. It that doesn't work take the adjuster out, it gives you 0,7mm more of low.
Hey, it's me again. So i was not satisfied with how high the rear was so i took out the adjusters out. Little better now, hope it settles a little bit more thought.
Also swapped my wheels for these awesome 14's. Here's some uber-awesome pictures:
Friends E36 can be seen in the garage, its currently getting worked on
So, back to the wheels, you like em?
Actually i took em off so i can polish them, so i hope they'll be back on on the weekend, maybe sooner, maybe later, who knows.
Already unmounted the tires, now just gotta polish em
Hope it turns out good
Cheers~
