THE BAY IS WHITE YOU RETARDS. IT'S NOT A HONDA. THE CAR WILL MATCH THE BAY. AND I'VE ALREADY SAID ALPINE WHITE A BUNCH OF TIMES. EVEN HAD AN ARGUMENT WITH WILLIS ABOUT IT. PAY ATTENTION.fags
The stock radiator didn't have an expansion tank, but it turns out the new one requires it. When it was getting up to temp, it would spit a little bit out of the fitting. So I made one. I think it looks pretty good in there.
Then I got a little crazy and decided to just start the bodywork. Might as well paint it before it's cold out. Knocked out any dents I could get to from the back. The car also had a couple big creases that I just had to fill. They're still fairly shallow, and I took everything down to bare metal, so it shouldn't be an issue.
"Fixed" a rust hole in the trunk. I'll go back and weld in a patch later on, but for now this will at least keep water from getting in and making it worse.
I did more, but forgot to take more pictures. I primed everything up and will hopefully get it close to finished by Thursday.
you my friend, are a GAHT DAMN GENIUS
this build is killer, just read through the whole thing, and really wish I was as intelligent about motors as you are, my m30 needs rebuilt bad ):
Had a bunch of electrical issues. Cliffs: bullet fuses suck. Burnt relays are smelly. You can't use things that aren't connected to the body of the car as a ground. Bullet fuses suck. I **** electrical problems. Bullet fuses suck.
Now that that's out of the way, changed the break-in oil. It was a little dirtier than I would have liked, but not awful. Plus the first oil change has the most contaminants from dirt, surface rust, and the new components wearing into one another. Also re checked the torque on the head bolts and the valve clearance. Everything was still in spec. Now to drive it.
