I can see this going in the right direction.
I have a close friend who is obsessed with building/racing his Z24 Cavalier, and it still surprises me to this day.
Here's pics of his car before it bit the dust, may they give you a little inspiration.

oh, my bad man. i forgot i was supposed to get the car everybody else had!!
This guy made a cav look good, but look at all of the fabrication required.
The reason they say to get a new car is because it would become a money pit if you don't know what you are doing. (I think this guy knows what he is doing though)

Keep on doing YOUR car!
Now my 2 cents: Dislike the rear but the front is promising.

Originally posted by sally pu View Postthis needs some work, some new wheels, cancellation of that reverse rake and possibly a roof spoiler if they make one...but I'm in for the grind. deep dish sterring wheel would also make it better a bit
I've thought about a roof wing... but IDK.

Most of the racing around here (that involves Cavaliers/Sunfires) is on an oval dirt track.
Mmmmm Toyo Tails...

I've been watching his build for a long time now (On here and j-body.org). His car is a huge inspiration to me.
In the end it'll be low, sitting on decent wheels, and pushing ~300hp.It's like rock-crawling... in the streets...

I'll be picking up a set of 15x10 steelies today, will probably have them torn apart and ready for reassembly over the weekend.
I'll take pictures of the wheel making process to keep you gentlemen entertained. It's like rock-crawling... in the streets...

On of them random, not really needed updates, update.
Here are some random shots just for fun.
Just hit 1000 miles on the newish engine, she's purrin' like a kitten. :3
Still saving up for springs... should be getting them early next month... fingers crossed.
Got 2 of the 10 inch barrels cut and ready for the new centers. Should be finishing up the other 2 barrels tomorrow and hopefully getting a good start on the other steelies.
15x10 Ford truck steelie
Wide enough for ya?
Rough cut
Ooooh purdy, ready for a new centerMinus the sandblast... of course.
Not really sure on the tire size I want to run... I'm thinkin' 205/45, but possibly a bit wider? We'll see... as of now I have a set of 195/60s that I'll run for the time being. (Broke status FTW)
Updates tomorrow. It's like rock-crawling... in the streets...

TONS of measuring, patience, and a dash of insanity...
Got another barrel ready for epicsteeliewheelness. Got rained on hardcore so I quit and played some Halo 2 with the kids.
No picture, because it's just another barrel...
Should be done with the barrels and possibly the faces tomorrow... fingers crossed for another step towards fitment.
In the meantime, watch a bunch of Japanese guys get really excited over an amazing drift run.
How about Daigo Saito catchin' some air?!
Wow I need to get my 240 running.
Okay, see ya tomorrow. It's like rock-crawling... in the streets...
