I doubt you've seen too many Z's that put close to 1000hp at the wheels.

Only downside to a mid mounted turbo is turbo-lag. There are many positives to a mid or rear mounted turbo, especially when the engine is built like his. He's got to be pushing 600+ from the block alone which is more then enough power to compensate for the turbo lag.

So that in different gears I get different rates... Low gears more squat, higher gears similarly soft suspension but progressively harder to increase high speed stability.

Yeah it's a street car, actually going to technically be a DD. Obviously I'm not going to roll around on the 1000hp setting, but there'll still be plenty of power on low boost (likely around 600whp).
The secondary goal behind that is highway queen and eventually a roll cage and interior strip down (retaining a/c, but loosing stereo, power seats etc) for standing mile purposes. But that's much further down the road. A few years from now likely just like the suspension lol.
Nice, i suppose if you use bags for a such a reason as yours that sounds like a pretty good idea, I have never heard of anyone using if like that, but thats prolly because I hang out mostly in the super ametour track/autox scene at best, and slammed classic cars on the other side, so it sounds like youve got it all figured out...I stand back and watch now, thanks for entertaining me

not in a z no. ive seen 700hp versions and thats more than enough for any street or drift car. your not going to be able to put 1000hp down on the street realistically. so basically it would only be good for the drag strip. and to my knowledge i cant think of any z drag cars? i know im probably wrong there, what i mean is theres usually easy cars outthere to extract 1000hp from. and thats probably because of the downpipe issue.
on the other hand i have seen lots of 1000hp vq35 engines placed in other cars. mainly gtrs because of the lighter weight and smaller size of the vq. awesome engine.

id definitely get some sort of bash guard for the turbo. are you going to do that?

Not ******, an honest question as I don't know the nissan engines well. Will you have problems with the open deck block handling that type of power?

not a fan of having that power on bags but loving the build so far. whats the plans for the body?

body got worked on tonight. siebon fenders in the rear. very disappointed with fitment, struggled with it quite a bit, even formally requested new fenders, both siebon and the vendor who sold me them were ZERO help.

Kinda pissed, but at the same time as long as they cover up my cut up rear fenders I'm happy.

Wheel gap is attrocious, and the fenders stick out more than advertised. In general kinda pissed about these fenders. But I don't have the money to do anything else really. Gaps all over the place, had to modify the metal underneath quite a bit... looks decent though.

                      I'll upload pics tomorrow.

Other body parts are removable hardtop by smoothlines, and an aerosync front. Keep it simple. Wanted a widened front and rear with nice fitment lowered and aerosync/stock like body parts after buying a widebody kit and deciding it was garbage.

                        hungover so picture time

stolen right off my other post on my350z:

Bumper's not actually on, and that mk3 on the right is ****ING NUTS

We enjoy screwing around i guess

Sometimes we get serious about screwing around...

and then there's the car again. I love the way the lines flow off the top of the trunk now... Wish the fenders fit better. Sticks out all funny at the door jam. Oh well, becuz racecar. (Don't ask about the 5" tip sitting on the factory muffler. I'm sticking with a 4" tip, I think lol)

Reclocked the turbo for more clearance, we'll see when she's down off the lift how much clearance I have, new turbo to crossmember mount, more banging on the subframe, finished charge pipe/reworked so the wheel doesn't ram into it on full lock and this fucking dope ass downpipe:

back purged, and pie cut 3"

I have. In fact, I've spent the last 20years or so, building cars for myself and customers. Hence why I respect and DO like your work so far.

As far as how I'd react.... trust me, I've been rebuilding my E36 since last September, only to have sub-contracted shops attempt to rob me, crash into my car/topple my bike and over-pull my XB.... Reaction you ask? Just keep up the good work.
