i can see your face, micah. this forum is not worthy of seeing your face.
That's not me though.
O___O
Okay. So try as I might with my unpleasantly sub-par photography skills, I just could not get a good picture of the hard-lined turbo oil supply. It's really slick though I don't know why everybody doesn't do this. That braided steel stuff it weak.
Anyways, that along with a new throttle body were part of my H2O prep. My old one was a piece of utter ebay garbage that someone sold me as a Holley. They lied. It was awful. It would stick open and the car would idle way over 1200 rpm... pretty much wherever it felt like. And it would surge like crazy sometimes and not at other times because there was no provision of the fast idle valve. Quite embarrassing.
But enough talk. I had a 68mm so I got a 70mm. I didn't like the pressed in barbed fittings coming out for the factory vacuum stuff so pulled them out, threaded the holes, and plugged them. Same with the MAP sensor. But this thing is NICE. The car idles down at ~800 rpm now as it should. No sticks, no hangs. I love it. It even has recessed bolt holes. LOVE. Buy Omni throttle bodies, people.
I also replaced the fuel tank as part of my prep. The old one had started leaking at the seam. And, if you know me, you know I can't leave well enough alone. So while the tank was out I redid all my fuel pump wiring with nice fancy (expensive) quick disconnect connecters and soldered everything. Not that I hope to pull the tank down again but butt connecters and crimp on clamps are never the proper way to do things.
No pictures because I was covered in sticky undercoating.
That was pretty much all the big stuff. I did little things like check all the suspension bolts, wiring, and just smart things to look at before a long trip. I've never driven the car over 2 hours before so this was a must.
I also found a working clock in the junkyard of which I am absolutely livid about not taking a picture of. It's seriously so nice to know the time while driving.
Oh also I got a transmission yesterday for $20. Score.
So being that there are no real pictures in this post, if you have read all of this you are a tropper and I hope you are blessed with many children.
The deeper and deeper I got into your build thread the more and more I absolutely love your car, keep up the rad work!

Thanks, Jon! You da man. YOU.
Yesterday was the car's final drive before the snow. We took a nice spirited drive through some wooded glens and watched the deer graze beneath a beautiful sunset. It was a perfect ending to an awesome season. I'm so happy to have completed my sixth year with this car. I won't be sitting on hands this winter, though, so expect some cool stuff as the cold months close in!
Just read through this whole build for probly my tenth time just because it really is an inspiration, seeing someone else that also started at a young age and worked like hell to get what they have now. So props to you dude!

Thanks so much, Jeff. That means a good bit. Keep at what you're doing! You're already beyond where I was at your age.
As a rule of thumb I **** civics, but I respect the hell out of yours. Nothing I can even criticize about it.
Sidenote: I know of two Micah's on this planet, you and he are both from Pennsylvania.
