Hey man, your car is a huge inspiration. I don't think I could ever really get into all the B-series turbo doodads but the overall aesthetic of the build just screams street racer. I love the meaty look of the 13"s, too, and your suspension is on point. Wish I could go that low with Tokico blues and off-the-shelf Ground Controls but maybe someday....

p.s. You can definitely go that low with that setup because that's basically what I have. The shorter tires obviously help a ton too... I don't know what tires you have.
Yesterday I wanted to pull the car on the lift just to go over everything after it had been sitting all winter as well as change the oil and replace a torn CV boot. This was the first time I tried to pull it on with the 13's and, well... I can't just pull it on anymore. The cross-member catches on the ramp so I have to place boards before as well as after the ramp or else the downpipe (although even with the oil pan) would be lower than the ramp once the wheels have passed over it. Yaay for more of a hassle... not.
Also I'm scraping through the trans. ugh.

I don't see how you can get that low with them though; the ots Ground Controls only offer a 3.5" drop. Taking out the sleeves might give me another half inch but that's still not enough for me. It's weird because I keep hearing everyone saying that Blues/GCs will slammmm EFs but I can't figure out how it's done. Thoughts?
And I'm running 165/50r15 Federals on 15x7 XXRs

That's odd. I have ebay coil sleeves which are really the same thing. My fronts are all the way down with both collars still there, and the rears are all the way down with (I'm guessing) 3 coils cut off.
Your tires are exactly 1/2 an inch taller than mine so you would be only about a 1/4 inch higher if all else was the same. I don't know, man, that's weird! Your springs must just be taller.Last edited by M.Doban; 04-22-2013, 08:03 AM.

That's crazy, maybe it's just the wheels/tires that pull it off?
Supposedly this guy is sitting on Tokico/GCs, but I have a really hard time believing it...

Looks like you're almost about to scrape through your down pipe lol. But 5*'s man..
Thank you!

Well over the weekend I didn't have much to do and nobody came to visit me like friends should. Jussayin. So I made a shift knob. I found it a year ago in a trash can as the handle to an umbrella. Cool beans. It literally took all of eternity to sand between every ridge so I could stain it.
I like the actual knob a ton but I'm not 100% "ilikethis" about it in the car yet. Time will tell if it stays. Opinions?

I think it looks tight. Almost a cross between oldschool Nardi hardwood and a boso-style glass dildo shifter.

On another note, I scraped really badly today on campus. I was trying to make cool high rpm noises in the tunnel and didn't see the crown in the road.
It's pretty deep really. No fluids are leaking and nothing appears damaged so yayy!
