Thanks, man!
The last time I ran it in a quarter mile would be those videos at the beginning of the thread. So last year I think? I usually race almost every other weekend at an airport strip though. It's an 1/8th mile.

Dude don't roll your fenders, shave 'em. Get an angle grinder with a cutting wheel and cut the majority of the fender lip off. Follow up with a grinding wheel and then a flap wheel to smooth everything down flush. Way cheaper, way faster, way easier, and you don't have to worry about your fenders coming out all wonky. That's what I did with mine and you've seen the fitment I got out of there.
If you're getting new quarters, shave them before you graft them onto the body; that'll be more convenient and then you can paint over the raw metal you just ground away to keep it from rusting out. The front fenders can be done the same way (off of the car) - they're easy to pop in and out.
The only complaint I have about shaved fenders is my fronts; the metal is so thin up front that the fenders bend really really easily, throwing my fitment off and making it easier to dent them. Eventually I'll probably weld a reinforcement piece to the insides, but for now it works fine. If you want to retain some rigidity, just leave a little bit of fender lip in there, maybe 1/8th inch or so, and make sure it's nice and rounded so it doesn't slice your rubber into ribbon.

Thanks for the advise man, but I'm definitely going to roll them rather than shave them. For one, cutting the lip off would melt my paint and two, it would be very flimsy as you said. Also, in the rear, the lip is where the spot welds are that hold the body to the wheel well. Gotta have those.
SO GUESS WHAT. Randomofodication (I always thought it was "Randomodification" until I typed that out) got me all thinking about how cool it would be to have the exhaust exit properly. And I know I typed out all those reasons and whatever but... whatevs. I change my mind a lot.
I was thinking something like this.
JUST KIDDIIIIIIING
This.
It's not actually my car but oh my gosh wow it's like the same car. I edited the original picture to tuck the tips up higher.

Ahhh I'd love to do that! Unfortunately there's nowhere I can actually fit that under my car or in the exhaust tunnel. But, I mean, I thought about what you said and all, and I really don't think finishing off the exhaust will restrict flow enough to make a difference. So I loose 3 horsepower.... I'll just turn the boost up a pound or something.
I like you. Thank you, my friend.
I'll have to get a video/soundclip of it under load when it switches over. I know VTEC is treated as a god within the adolescent Honda crowd but even so... it sounds just as you described. I seriously love it.Last edited by M.Doban; 05-24-2013, 07:19 PM.

Bahahaha, the guy in the second pic (the teal hatch), is my good buddy Greg here in CO. He's running a tucked HKS Sport exhaust (I will be too here soon).
Here you go, some light reading on how to create one of the cleanest goddamn EFs I've ever laid eyes on.

Here's both of us at a show last weekend (don't mean to thread-jack here haha, just relevant).

Now I know why I like you.
You're the only other person I've ever seen who can do the Rising Sun valve cover right. No one else can seem to get it even close.
Yours is like a mirror image of mine.

Mirrors are cool. I can never understand their magic.
Yours is sick though! And may I ask how you kept it white? It's so minty. Is it powdercoated?
It annoys me when people either have like 5 rays (I counted the proper amount on a real flag; looks like you did too) or they are crooked as POOP.
You did a really nice job on yours, dude. Props! Can't wait to see it in real life.
Freaking clean bay too!

Oh man that totally reminds me:
1) both your bays are sweet, and I dig the rising sun valve covers. Wanna do that to my gas door.
2)Micah, what does the Japanese script on yours say? I've always wondered since I saw that post but never thought to ask for some reason.
