thanks for the props, I haven't updated in a while because I haven't done much. This past week I decided to try and clean up the car and focus on some details. First I wanted to try out incorporating wet sanding and buffing into painting to create finishes without orange peel. I ditched the matte black finish on my grill and badges and resprayed them in gloss black. I don't have pics for everything yet, but here's the trim.

And since I had already started cutting and buffing my car but never finished I decided to go back and finish that up. You can see on the right side where it hasn't been polished yet.

Also pulled the fenders and skirts and sunroof visor. Looked pretty rad to me, I also kind of prefer the car without the visor, but I like having it because I don't know anyone else that has one.

Since I was pleased with how the grill came out, I decided to tackle the fenders, I'm aware it wont be Toyota black, but if its at least gloss black and semi legit its an improvement, as long as it's not an obvious rattle can job. It took 3 cans of stripper to remove that outdoor texture paint I sprayed on, and I had to strip it to metal in order to save myself from some sanding.

    Stripped

    Primered

Glossed and cleared, at this point I had already wet sanded with 2000 grit and started polishing.

I think where I went wrong, was buffing it with a microfiber, and then rebuffing it with a Terry cloth. Or I may have wet sanded too far, over buffed, or all of the above. I ended up fading the hell out of the finish and it refused to re-gloss itself so I am currently redoing it. Good news is that all I have to do is reclear/wetsand/polish and not the entire process.

Thanks for all the kind words guys. Completely unrelated to my car but I went out and practiced shooting some more with a friend of mine. The photo is an improvement over the one's that I took the other day of my car imo. Also learned a few more things in photoshop.

I really admire the attention to detail. I can tell you'd rather do it right or not do it at all, which is something you don't see a lot of.

When I looked at this photo:

I legit did one of these:

It also meet my criteria for dope rides:
    1. work wheels
    2. bolt on flares
    3. black
    4. not made after the year 1999 (not counting the "Platinum Series" LS 400)

Great build, love the photos, and congrats on this getting the attention it deserves.
thanks bro that means a lot to me haha, I feel like details are overlooked a lot and I really have tried to do everything to the best of my abilities and knowledge. It's all the details that add up and make things awesome. I'm not sure if I commented on your thread, or if I just lurked on it haha. but that Supra is off the chain man, really just raw as hell and super mean with the barrels as lips haha.

Took some shots of my car yesterday, I had to let my cousin drive it so that I could take the photos. First time really attempting rolling shots but overall I think they came out alright. I had a bunch of photos that looked better on the camera but when I got home and opened them they were blurry as hell haha. Next time I want to go out while its still light and that should help with noise reduction.

The blue really pops, and please don't put blast pipes on this bitch...the stock tips look fine...I would just add a trunk lip maybe
Idk they have the trunk lip that rolls up a little bimmer style, thought about getting it but never really got sold on the idea. I will probably end up getting it anyways just to look at it. Btw the tips aren't stock, stock would be 1 tip per side with 2" oval slip ons over the muffler tip, I have dual dual tips (quad) 3.5" rounds.

haha, really was considering that color again. Would look way better contrasted with the polished lips. OR what about lazer rootbeer lips with satin black faces or something like that?
