I really feel like tires/flares will come from my refund, depending on what's left after my vacation. I'm heading to S/C for my girlfriends Bday to spend a week on the beach. Got a nice condo on the coast!


The trucks soooooo underpowered it's annoying. I make -maybe- 70 rwhp?? It sucks. The motor will be a freshly built L-Z hybrid block. Built by a buddy at Forged Performance to race spec for his old 210 he no longer has. He was building it to rape GTR's on the track, but abandoned the project after getting in deep with his rock crawler.

It's an L20b block with:

Forged Mahle pistons
ARP Main studs
Big block chevy bolts
Z20E long rods (stock forged iirc)
Z22 Crank (stock forged as well)

A87 Close chamber head (imported from the japanese models in the 70's and 80's)
BIG Racer Brown cam, .272 lift unkn duration

I'll recycle my header and intake mani from my current setup, maybe get a single side draft Weber 45 and look at maybe double to triple my rwhp.

I just reallyyyy feel like my truck needs more power. It's fucking shitty some days. mostly the heavy camper. I can live with the suspension for now.


I think I'm gonna go by the bank and see about setting up a personal loan to pay for motor and parts.

Thinking more about that, the motor would SUCK. The compression ratio is going to be so high, I'm probably gonna be looking at maybe running 93 octane at super retarded timing.

Put a KA or SR in there! I know what it's like to be carb'd truck slow. There's actually a lot of forum help on Ratsun for putting those motors in your truck.

Put a KA or SR in there! I know what it's like to be carb'd truck slow. There's actually a lot of forum help on Ratsun for putting those motors in your truck.

KA & SR are out of my budget. I can't afford the big changes that have to go with it (bigger brakes, suspension, etc) but it MAY come down the road! For now I'm just gonna cruise.

I'm on Ratsun 24/7 and one of the top posters :P That place is crazy helpful.

I haven't really done much other then drive it. My starter took a shit while I was driving around. Even with a dying starter I was able to get it to turn over JUST enough to fire it up. With my choke closed on a cold engine, it starts up very easily so it took very little effort. Since then, I've played with a few ideas.*

Part of me wants to find some 16x8's with a 0 or - offset, so i can get the right tires on, but that's long down the road.

I painted the letters out pretty crappy on my spare just to get an idea of what it would look like, and I kinda like it. I always like raised white letters so I may paint them all out in a week or so when it's warm out and I can scrub down the tires.*

Yessir! I was thinking about it, just for tire options on a 16 since 15's are the new 13 But I dunno, that's a long time coming.

I replaced the rear 205/60 with a 225/50 so it's a LOT nicer now and a ton smoother!



Also confirmed truck is getting LZ23 stroker soon! Give me about a month-2 and it should be in with a freshly rebuilt 5 speed!

I have about $600 worth of parts that came in today. Exedy Stage 1 clutch, clutchless waterpump, trans bearing/seal/synchro kit, 12'' fan w/ thermostat, etc.
