Me toooo! I'm hoping to get it in the week before Import Alliance!
I'm sure it will sound super beastly...

So there should definitely be a IA meet up man!

I think we're planning an old school roll out! I'll keep you updated

Moar on the truck... Not a lot has changed,

Really enjoying the look of the 225's over the 205's.

Some fucker hit my truck recently. I have NO clue where/how long ago but it's stupid. Makes me want to leave the truck as is and not paint it.

      Random:

ALSO got some Recaro's from a buddy of mine for freeee They're stock Recaros from an '80 Suzuki Swift GTI and they are pretty damn comfy!

They aren't going to be hard to work with on the rails, and the stock belts fit around them in the same position. They are VERY comfy too. I may be able to have them mounted by Saturday afternoon. I'm off for the next few days,

I'm also FINALLY getting to the dyno tomorrow at 3pm. They've been busy, so I got an appointment for that time tomorrow. Then I'll go back in a month-ish and do it all over again.

          Will do!

I sold them to a buddy :P You wouldn't want them, they were too big! (tall)

Kinda confirms my suspicion that I'm losing a LOT of power somewhere. We only ran to 5300 since they were a little concerned about running it any higher, and I didn't want to risk it hurting anything, even though i'm sure it's fine. No biggie. I've been getting more transmission noise out of it, so I didn't want to break that either. It wouldn't have continued building power past that I don't think, so it's not hurting anything really. I'm happy to see it's consistent, but it sucks that it's so down on power. No matter, the LZ will make a LOT more power I imagine.

          • I love l20b's, but there just isn't much aftermarket for them.

Kind of wish that the engine bay was longer like in the 720 so you could fit an l28. Good luck with the stroker man.

There's lots of aftermarket on the L20B, but it's either expensive, or hard to find. I've managed to source out most of it, and fund it all, so I should be okay.

I would LOVE to have an L28 if it could fit easily, but that's far too expensive for me.

I meant aftermarket in the US and compared to other engines like the 6 cyl L series or even the KA(people claim that the KA has a small aftermarket, so compared to the l20b, the l20b aftermarket is tiny).

My name is Kevin, I live about 30 minutes north of Atlanta GA. My brother and I are in the process of swapping a L28 into my 78 620 convertible.

                Check that out.

My mom used to have a datsun 620 regular cab, so I have a soft spot for these.

Ahhh yeah, I see what you mean. Yeah, L6 and KA are decent, I don't know. I'm just partial to the L series motor.

That truck is sweet, wonder what ever happened to it! Looks like it was built local.

Anyways,,,, I've been away for a while. I've got a lot. But more on that later...

                          • I got it off another forum from a guy on the west coast. Cost me 50 bones.

Pretty sure it's an old school Grant Mustang replica.
