I went to the painter yesterday asking for an offer to get a front lip and sideskirts painted that I have lying in the cellar. And the hood too because the clearcoat is falling apart at one spot.

This will cost me around 900€ so this needs to wait until spring next year. I am looking forward to it!

That seems to be a bit on the safe side...? :S

For my a3, I need 7,5J at 42 ET, but I have 8,5 ET 32, and i still have 5mm of space left..

    Don't trust facotry specs

Edit: Oh crap.. You want it TUV approved.

I was afraid of that ... The five-to-four-bolt-problem I realised, but having seen a lot of conversions I thought about converting spacers and from there I'm lost

Nice car! Speaking of wheels; I've always liked these (Peugeot 206 RC wheels), but I have no idea if there's even a slight possibility that they'll fit: http://www.peugeotshow.info/wp-conte...103e5afb23.jpg

I am wondering for quite some time now which wheels might work. Nothing convincing until now.

I've never seen an A2 before checking out this thread. Looks awesome man. I do like it. I love the bubbly fenders on this thing too. Are you looking to run something aftermarket or OEM+ in terms of wheels? Just whatever fits properly I guess?

Its just because I love big wheels.
(well and because 205/40 R17 is the original wheel size which I can ride without getting it approved by TÜV again.)
(and stupid low is out of question due to daily ride )

    Very different and definitely cool!
Why 17s though? Slap some 14s on it and ride stupid low.

    Hi Nagah,

Nice car :P i also drive one and i like it it's a bit of pioneering spirit to build an TÜV legal A2. Not much people have done it yet and we are a rare race!

I´m also building one, here a Picture of "Bibo"

I know he could use a little drop but it is fine for me

Dude, I got involved in a crash last year and the guys had a very very close look at my car back then. I would have been in serious trouble if my car wasn't legal back then.
Even being legal, one year later, I am still argueing with the insurance about my money. I don't even want to think about the problems I would have when the car wasn't properly TÜV approved.

But I will check out Dare RS, never heard of them.

    ---EDIT---

Just checked the wheels. RS said it all.
But this is not an old BMW, I do not feel RS on this one.

I would like to test fit Rota D2 (Work Meister reps) or Rota P45R (but P45R is not available in suitable sizes. ) but there is no one around that has them.
We really need a shop where you can test fit wheels like women and shoe shops! This would be insane!

    ---EDIT-2---

I am really starting to like kind of those:

Thanks a lot for the effort to get me some pics! But I guess I stick with non-steelies.
Sometimes I wonder about moving on from 17" to 18" (8x18 is possible with minor modifications) when buying new wheels. But it is fairly more expensive and I don't know if it's worth the 1" more...
