And I picked these up tonight on the way home from work...





Have to rework a little curb rash, but nothing crazy. Also have to work on getting tires for these so it's going to be a minute before they are mounted, but very happy with this purchase...

probably going to have these painted white as well.. Just like the look too much to let it go.

I like the progress. Looks good.

I agree with you on the white rims. They're nice, looks great.
Loving the lip on the new rims, it'll look awesome rolling down the road.

Yeah, I can't wait to see it.

I also can't wait to start diving into getting these to fit. In my head, it will be something that you won't necessarily notice but when sitting next to another truck you will pick up with how wide these actually are and how they sit.

And this afternoon...







They are back up on the wall until I get the garage cleaned up. Still have to put everything back together from my tearing it all apart. Once I get it organized, these will be fitted to run on the truck.

And today was the day of glorificationess and fantasmicalism. Yes, I just made those up...


First and foremost, the comparison. 18s on the left/top 20s on the right/bottom



Started off with simply sticking the fronts on last night to see just how the new wheels and rubber would sit on the current suspension...

and on to the new...






As you can see, they fit a little snug. I had to pull the front fenders a bit to get everything to sit without rubbing and I found out today that I can rub on the flares at full lock when I hit some hard bumps but other than that, everything clears up front with very minimal rubbing with people in the truck on the passenger side.

Then this morning, on to the rear of the truck. Darek made a showing and helped out a bunch with fitting these.. REALLY appreciate the extra set of hands.


Got the truck up on jack stands and replaced the blocks, thanks to Ace X for the replacements! Then we pulled the rear flares off so that I didn't break them when I dropped the truck back to the ground.



As you can see, there was a little dirt in there.


Then, with the axle repositioned with the new blocks (shifted to the passenger side like normal) and the truck on the ground, I could see just what it was going to take to get the flares to sit where I needed them to...

Passenger side (as this is ALWAYS the one that sticks out)


Then me pulling it with my supervisor telling me where I needed to pull next. Yes, this is how I pulled the bedsides. I didn't cut the brace on the inside, just wanted to see if I could get away without having to do it and also was really easy. Took about 30 minutes to an hour to pull the bedsides this much...


And the final product, sans flares.


Then, we trimmed more off the inside of the flare to give it less inner lip and then rounded it out a bit to get rid of the sharp edge.

This is how the flare sits and it clears as it flexes. Ecstatic with how it sits.. and now my truck has some "hips" as Darek put it so eloquently. :lol:



And of course, we went for a drive. Waiting on some rolling videos from him that he shot, but here are two photos that I took outside Duncan Donuts.

And one more update (as it will probably be the last one in for a bit) from last night...


I hauled a little bit of weight today (dirt and rock) for the back yard and ended up rubbing on the inner lip of the rear wheel well. So... I decided that I needed to (re)move it.

Unfortunately, there wasn't a ton of room without taking off the wheels and I was hungry and pizza was being ordered, so I didn't bother removing the wheels.

My son and I looking over what we had to deal with...



Talking to my son to figure out how to go about it...



Working out the kinks, my son calling me a wimp and telling me to hit it harder.



Then (after the bed was unloaded) I tightened down the helper springs some more to get it to sit just where I needed/wanted it to sit...






and tucked in nice and snug for the night.

Dope Chevy man, love all the DIY in this thread. Finding the perfect stance on a truck can be a little tricky; hoping to close the wheel gap soon on my Ranger like you did. Looks great!
