camo looked good but a little busy in between the headlights, i reckon it might look cleaner if you just had the camo section in the middle and end it at the ends of the black grill... maybe not though just a thought

Snapped this the other morning with the phone. Thought it was decent enough to make it in here...

Righto.. so I thought I was happy with the stance, but I wasn't. I know I am not going to tuck crazy, but I did want to tuck at least the top of the tires. I was about half an inch or so from that.
But not anymore.
Started tearing apart the truck this morning to see what was up and after I almost had everything off, a friend mentions the bump stops. So I looked and sure enough, I was riding on them or close to them since the control arm was nice and clean where they were. So hell with it, pull the bumpstops and drop her back down to see where it sat.
That was what was limiting me.
Put it back together, tightened everything up and that is when my buddy had to take off had to leave.
So as I was puting it all back together, I installed some 1/4 inch spacers up front that I picked up.
Then another friend showed up to help. Was wrapping everything up so we dropped it back down, hopped in the truck and stopped by Autozone to return the un-used spring compressors, then to the car wash for a quick spray and then pizza, then home.
cleaning the top is so easy now..
lil bita suds
pizza pickup
Then, Matt mentioned him doing the blower motor, showed me how to pull it and we dove into that. After a little deliberation and the how-to: posted on here, we figured it out and now you can barely hear the thing being on in 1 and 2... SOOOO NICE!!!
Oh, and that shit was fucking nasty filthy. I think we shortened our life expectancy a bit.. and I have been breathing that shit in!
Then as I was installing everything, my son decided that since all 4 wheels were on the ground, he needed to take it for a spin.
And now, all wrapped up and in the garage... Going to work on adding some weight to the back end to get it a little more level.
and just for shits-n-giggles
oh the ride is so smooooooooth now!

Righto, figure it is a good time for a bit of an update since I was able to get some work done.
2-19-2013
I ended up picking up the Thule roof rack feet off a local guy for a great price, so now I will be rocking a roof rack once I find some load bars and some a front fairing for it. Not sure I will like it, but I am thinking it will fit.
Then, a friend sent out his remote tuner to my doorstep in order to tweak the engine a bit while I had the time.
In all honesty, he practically nailed it the first attempt. Told him about what I wanted/expected and downloaded the file from my truck. Then he installed one that actually surprised me when I took off.
We tweaked it for a bit and finally ended with something I am very happy with. The take off is back and the power is constant (if not improving) throughout the entire acceleration.
Alright, I know it's nothing crazy impressive to some. I know I do not have a V8, I know I do not have turboz or spritzin some nitrous... But I am happy with the cold air intake and a little bit of modifications to the exhaust.

The videos are dark and I do need to get out there during the day for some running shots. Wish it captured the light better but not much you can do.
and a couple pictures from today to add something more to the post

And this weekend, stopped and grabbed a shot, plus added a little moarloe. :kiki:
I got a lot of looks as I was rolling down I75 at about 70-80 with that as well as driving around town.
And a bit of a memorial shot for remembrances as this was one of the places I used to shoot my old truck when traveling through the area.

So a quick update for the night...
Today I decided to try and tackle the last portion of suspension that I felt was necessary. I needed a half inch to an inch of drop on the back end to get this thing sitting level both front and back.
Installed some traction springs and it worked out perfect! The truck now sits where it should.
I am finally happy with where the setup on this truck...
front (obviously)
back (it's true!)
and yes the truck actually has mud on it. Gotta get it cleaned up, hopefully tomorrow.

Appreciate it.
But it's not all that bad. Only real pain is the fact that each corner requires a slightly different setup to work right with the other corners, but then you fix that and it affects the other 3 in some way.
And the only people that offer adjustable suspension (whether air or static adjustment) charge an arm and a leg plus your first born for their setup. I am fond of my first born, so we can't go that route.

And last bit of work that I plan to conduct for a while as time is running short and I am actually happy...
3-9-2013
So ended up picking up a new drying absorber towel thing (forget the name) and some towels and a tub of wax, so I felt like detailing.
Washed, clayed, washed, waxed and polished the truck tonight.
Ended up power-washing the wheels and knocked off the flat paint and the camoed spoke. :lmao: So back to all white rims.
Once I finished that up, I backed into the garage, jacked the truck up and played in the wheel wells a bit.
and back on the ground.

And the final outcome of all this work over the past month or two.
