Weeeelp.....looks like I am setting myself up for an insane build, or a massive headache. But most probably, both
Apologies in advance for the crappy phone pictures. I should be getting myself a decent camera this summer.

This is her. 1968 Jaguar XKE. The infamous and oh so beautiful E Type Jag (insert Jeremy Clarkson voice) Generation 1 1/2. So right off the bat, the purists aren't gonna be too happy. But fortunately, I am not building this for them. I don't enough know where to begin to explain this.......
Well. This car is my father's. He has owned it for about thirty years now. It was his DD back in the eighties. His choice was to either purchase a 240z, or this. I think he absolutely made the best decision. It has not been driven much in the past sixteen years or so. Around 12 years ago or so (whenever hurricane floyd hit the east coast) the car was caught under water in the barn it was stored in. With the insurance money, my pops fixed it up and tooled around in it some more. Then we moved, and the car has been sitting in our shed for about seven years or so. Money has always been a bit tight, so we have never gotten around to putting her in tip top shape. But now, I will be done with school in two weeks for good, and working full time at a shop around the corner, AND living at home, so a sixty hour pay week and no expenses means I will have plenty of money to play around with. And I have been dying to not only get her onto the road, but let her sit a little lower, make her go a little quicker, and DEFINITELY make her more reliable
So here she is. Original 4.2 liter straight six, with the third carb retro'd on. Four speed. Only other thing non-stock on it is the radio (who would have thought that a cassette player should be aftermarket?) I am more than open to ANY and ALL suggestions. The only things I am set on are keeping the same color paint (one of the most gorgeous reds a car has been painted), and I want to keep that wire wheel look. Dayton has "knock offs"
(no, not fake wheels, knock off locking cap) that are much wider than the bicycle tires on it, but other than that, I'd love to hear opinions. Motor swaps, interior, lowness [because it is going low
] Just because you are building a car to your standards, doesn't mean you amazing community can't throw out some great ideas! Thanks for checking it out.
