Just showing love, w114/115 is the perfect "grown up" car in my eyes.

Timeless is the word i'm looking for maybe.

Just a heads up too on the AC stuff. Those 4 switches are goofy sometimes, but the kicker is the actual middle knob and the green knob in the center.

when you do get the AC going (if you do) make sure the green knob is together properly. The top can get loose and spin freely (making you think you turn it on) but it actually is doing nothing

The subframe mounts I replaced and cut about 10mm shorter moving the entire subframe a little higher, new motor mounts actually raised the motor over an 1" from where the worm ones let it sag too and I have 4" od round aluminum blocks I think they are .750" between the mounts and the spacers. The exhaust had to be bent downward to clear the body now that the motor sits so much higher and the fan shroud had to be removed. Still yet to make a new shroud. May just replace the fan with an electric unit.

saw your car at fresh meet, I had my burgundy b6 audi parked a couple rows down from you. I picked up a 75' 280 last week, already planning on air so this thread has been a huge help so far. Gonna be a few months before I have the money saved up for air, so planning on scraping around static until then. What all did you do to raise the motor up? I have no problem dragging sh*t all day long, just not trying to swap pans weekly haha.

No, my ac although looking complete does not work. not familiar with it the sanden conversion. I do still have the original ac compresssor bolted on without the belt on it (belt wasn't on when I got the car, also the belt is missing for the air pump, whatever that's for.) I constantly think about one day converting the ac compressor to an air compressor for the suspension.
