I think you guys are picturing the whole spring compressing thing a bit differently to how it is, it's not like you just grab an oxy torch and heat them up and stand on them in your driveway, ghetto styles. It's done professionally by spring manufacturing companies, you give them your springs and tell them how much lower you want them, then they heat them up and put them in a press, and cool them off properly so they don't become brittle. I've had it done a few times to different cars before I started using coilovers and it's a very affordable (and safe) way to get your car lower instead of cutting springs.
Car looks great, perfect cruiser, wouldn't change a thing!
