Have you ever had a moment where you looked at nature and felt something? Something more. I took this picture after being hit with a feeling like, everything is going to be alright. Thanks God.
Now to the ol' update.
I have the engine in a mounted, now time for the trans to get mounted and connected.
As I lay under there connecting the shift linkage, a praying mantis dropped by to say hello.
He stared at my face for a bit. So I tried to shake his hand.
He scuttled back and bowed up. WHAT HOMIE!
Being "From the Streets" I quickly called his bluff.
He got all tuff and attacked my face. Which sent me running from under the car in a circular pattern in around a willow tree. After my quick run, I stood still speaking to my brother in law. I was saying how that little mantis was a BEEOTCH and couldn't step to me when he climbed up my back onto my shoulder. I screamed, "Get it off!" and Adam jumped into action grabbing the mantis with his manly hands and throwing it toward the street. It buttonhooked around and flew straight to my garage. I think it was headed for my wife, OH HAIL NAW. He ended up walking away after a second throw.
We are the champions my friends. Better pray a little harder next time you punk ass mantis.
Shift linkage connected. Trans not mounted. Changing that shiftrod joint really stiffened it up!
Trans mounted with new mounts.
While I was tackling this, Adam got the front exhaust manifold connected with all new hardware and gaskets. Thanks Adam.
Looks so fresh. Like a baby.
He also switched out the old BMW clamps to some FORD clamps I found in the Junk Yard. I realize this is retarded, but I have 0$ and I mean ZERO $ to spend on this car right now. New BMW clamps will be the first thing on the list.
Its amazing how much those old style clamps leak!
Done for the night. More updates and a running car this weekend.
I'm getting diarrhea and smelly farts just looking at the pictures of what you eat. Mayo slopped between two slices of bread both top and bottom with a hunk of meat and cheese nestled in the middle.
With that said, I would gladly feast on that any day of the week. I ate hot cheetos at 1:00am last night and felt like I was going to spackle the walls with spicy doo doo all day today but in the end it was all worth it.

By the way, nice progress.
Haha WTF? You should make your build posts this detailed. With the poo talk and all, gosh. Man I guess I'm lucky I can eat anything and convert it to poo without drama.
Awesome thread got more awesome with the inclusion of THRICE and BEEOTCH MANTIS!
Keep it up mate, loving this thread.
Thrice is NUMBAR WON band in WORHULD.

Try cooking your burger like this. Take your groundbeef and smash it down between two paper plates to make it 1/4 in thick. Cook on medium heat in a cast iron pan lightly drizzled with olive oil, until the juice bubbling through the meat turns clear. Flip. Season already cooked side with Sweet baby rays bbq sauce. Cook until juice bubbles through the top. Flip again to glaze the BBQ sauce, cook it for 20 seconds on that side while you smear BBQ on the other side, then flip back for 20 seconds while you put your slice of cheese on.
Sweet baby rays is the best bbq sauce, but glazed it is just amazing.
Driveshaft mounted with new guibo. Notice that the trans mount I didn't replace failed sometime after mounting. Son of a.
Also ignore the dirt in the underbody, I'll take it by my pops house and pressure wash the entire underbody this coming weekend. I started wire brushing it but got a glob of grease in my eyeball.
Heat shield installed. This was so beat up I had to hammer the edges flat with a body hammer.
Right in the middle of working my favorite socket wrench fell apart. I've had this wrench since 2004 and have used it on everything. I was putting the exhaust together and it just destructed. One of the springs was missing. I have to admit I was kind of sad. This wrench was so dependable, it could hold my 200 pound body weight with ease, the action was so smooth. This was a christmas gift from my parents.
Yes! Located the spring. Now to put it back together.
I also decided to spray some lube into the gear inside, it actually smoothed it out a lot. Its better than ever.
YAY!
YAY!
Now, back to work.
A quick trick. When you're putting something together and the gasket is getting annoying. Just spread a bit of this.
Like this.
So it will stick like this.
Bingo.
As you can tell, I bolted up the exhaust.
All new gaskets/hardware/paint
Back together!
O2 sensor back on. Very nice.
New trans fluid
A Mix.
My device I invented for this.
All filled and torqued.
Also got the Alternator and PS pump and belts installed and finished.
I know I'm so stoked. I've been driving an SUV for a month and I can't wait for my e28s suspension and motor.

I did not work on the ol e28 as making a good sandwich and watching the movie "Safe" with Jason Statham. Jason is one of my favorite actors, so I enjoyed it. The fight scenes are very cool. He crushed a guys trachea with a dinner plate. Nice.
On to the Sandwich.
Fresh Bread Roll
Mayonnaise
Sweet Baby Rays
Cheese
Bacon (5 whole strips)
Avacado
Mayonnaise
Bun
I have to say that bacon is the BMW of meats. Just right.
Putting Avacado on the bottom is where its at. As the food rotates in your mouth, the avacado and mayonnaise meet in the middle, mix with the bacon and cheese and just MAGIC.
