Pretty satisfied with my wheel collection lately, that's the XXRs, Starions, Enkei RSV, a couple shitty spares, and some steelies

Also my buddy and I have found an FC in Alabama that we are planning on getting, we have towing and everything set up, just have to make sure the
guy doesn't sell it out from under us, so I may have a new build thread soon! Check back shortly homies.

just read through your whole build and whilst your young and i can remember my first car build it usually ends up where not having funds makes the mind wander and you end up doing things out of boredom rather then necesity.

dont get me wrong im not ****** but as alot of people have been there/done that just try and save your funds for longer and focus on one part of the car and complete that then move on.

impressed so far for your age and keep up the work if anything it is a valuable learning experience ready for your next car etc.

That is a brand new 2JZ crankshaft as well as main and rod bearings, just need pistons, rods, and some odds 'n ends and it'll be ready to tear some shit up! I plan on buying an FC shell to put it in.

Thanks a bunch guys, yeah I've had a few friends look at the pistons as well and they think it detonated, but only once, told me stories of engines that had detonated like 4 times and how the piston head looked like a sponge, anyways I have some super shitty pictures for you guys!

I already posted this in Engine and Drivetrain but I wanted to put it here too so more would see it.

I was cleaning and scrubbing the pistons from the 2JZ (Nothing that would hurt them) and I noticed these gouges and chips all over the top of piston number 5.
I'm guessing something must have gotten in the cylinder but the cylinder wall isn't scratched or anything, I haven't yet checked the valves to see what they look like, but it's only piston 5. It appears to still be usable but I wanted a second opinion, and maybe someone has an idea of what happened?

It seems like the more I clean this engine the more is messed up under all the grime

Had that with my Merc 300-engine. Cylinder + piston no. 6 was shot in mine (see build thread). But that was caused by a piece of piston ring that broke off.
Probably caused by overheating because a heap of trash, grime and other nasty-ness in the cooling channels around the 6th cylinder clogged it up...

I'd say inspect the head, cylinder and pistonrings really carefully. If it was a piece of pistonring like mine, the cylinderwall must be shot too...

PS: if it isn't, get new pistons. The bashed item on the pic won't be any good...
