Heres my build 72 mgb gt. Swapping in a ford 5.0. had to do quite a bit of clearencing on the firewall and front cross member ect. Built the headers, filled any not needed opening and removed brackets. Going for a smooth bay. Trying to get it low, but its really old school suspension.

Yeah tried to get as low and as far back a possible, and theres still good clearence to the ground underneath. the oil pan sits above the crossmember, so it stays protected. Ive been working on it for about 6 months when i have the time, so about 5-6 hours a week. Im at the point were the engine is back out, and im gonna shape a little tunnel for the steering collum to come through.
Then the bay is gonna some more smoothing, some filler, sanded, and paint.
Then engine work. I have another engine the one in the pictures is for mock up. I have a 93 cobra engine which is gonna be carbed, and explorer heads with some tweaks. Going for about 300hp.Attached Files

changed the steering rack to the back side of the crossmember, cause it was tight in the front. Then recut the shaft to length.Attached FilesLast edited by 89325iturbo; 04-21-2012, 04:32 PM.
