Damn i was reading this build as if i was doublechecking a winning lottery ticket
i know i'm not half as stoked as u about this build but i'm comming close :P
Success! Needle bearing came in. got clutch, shift fork, starter all in and everythings seems right on point. Ill put it in tomorrow, hook up coolant lines, fueling lines and tuesday my battery cable kit will be here and wed my piping for tb to turbo. next weekend is the goal to start it and roll it out
Bolts came in, got the guide tube installed and the needle bearing has a hairline crack. fuck me.
Since i'm waiting on that i had some mesh laying around from a previous RS6 grill project. Thought it might look alright and protect the radiator some. Came out decent. I also realized now i need euro corners to make up my gap between air ducts and turns.
This bolt was a show stopper this weekend. Whoever replaced it last time reused the old bolt as it was pretty beat up. Impact wouldn't budge it and it started to slip. Got the dremel out and cut a new x in it and still couldn't get it to grab. Drilled the center out for a bit and then chiseled in the edges until it finally broke loose. Nearly all day wasted on this.
Shitty part is it was to the guide tube which i probably didnt need to replace in the first place but thought hey since i'm in there just replace everything. And to really spoil the weekend the new guide tube didn't come with hardware, special order from porsche. Also realized i didn't have a pilot bearing so ordered that as well. So while i wait i ordered my fueling kit from C2. stage 2 set up. Ive ran their stuff before and it ran flawless. Exhaust studs, v band clamps and piping ordered as well. I'll roll to sowo with a 2ft down pipe so i'm not all that worried about getting the exhaust made in time
