Hey dude, my w124 was almost exactly the same as yours when I got it, if not worse...

It really isn't even rough? Dunno what the fuck everybody else is talking about, a bit of body work and a respray and your set...

Lol right? it's really not that bad. interior is a little dirty and shot, but overall it'd clean up pretty nicely!

Looking forward to seeing this progress

If you have a pull a part near you, hit it up for minor parts, you'll save so much money.

i second this.... my interior was prob alot worse... the worst part for the w201 is the door cards...u will have to get new ones (used in good condition) once the rubber on these things starts to come off there is no saving them... (ive tried) also to on my w124 the center console looked SOOOOO much worse , just take the wood off, use body filler on it, sand it down, primer it and vinyl wrap it in brushed metal, or carbon fiber film... these cars are notorious for damaged wood... cause its actual wood. im excited about this... love a good clean up and brought back to life tale...

also when u do a tranny flush , the torque converter on the w201 has a drain plug. make sure your mechanic knows this and empties it also... ( 90% of mechanics dont know about the drain plug)

alright sounds good. i went to the local euro junk yard and the have the lighter tan interior there... pretty pricey for a free car 125 a seat 75 a door panel... 20 a switch.... 125 for a dash that has 1 crack in it between sunroof switch panel and hazard swith panel./... thinking i will see if i can get the seats repaired and recovered and find a tan plaid material to do some wrapping in. trying to keep cost to a minimum.
I need some heavier spring rate springs to chop. rumor has it that r129's are the ticket but i was thinking about piucking up a set of eibach r129's would these be to stiff?

stiffness just depends on how you want it to ride. make you get the non progressive r129 (no sls) springs if you plan on going that route, although 400e springs will do just fine and can be had for about 80 bucks. chop em down to height and enjoi

I have the non progressive r129 Eibach race springs on my w124, love the ride but I am going to need new shocks soon.

If you want to do it super properly static, yellow speed racing offers a full strut / coil / adjustable shock conversion for our cars

                  this is gonna sound bad....

I got the car for free. I have $260 in it as of now. i found some oem mercedes wheels from a 1997 e320 16x7.5. gonna run those with as much stretch as i can do on 7.5" and just get it settin nice static. Paint it back to the original color. fix up the interior and revamp the audio and just drive it. I have a mazdaspeed miata that i am gonna start making nicer. and just need a good daily. So in this build cheaper is better! so if you have any ideas to help me out let me know!

Get bigger and wider rims, cut the springs, get blisten or konis and your golden. And there's no need to stretch a tire on a 7.5 it will fit fine with a proper sized tire with a lower profile.

ok 195/50r16 tires are gonna be the ticket! should have just enough stretch hopefully to be able to get a nice flush fitment. Waiting on fuel pump so i can make sure nothing big comes up before it is road worthy before ordering tires and spacers.

quick question for my 190e pals.

Beck Arnley? not sure on spelling.... sent me 2 fuel pumps.... they look identical.... i only have one factory installed on my car with no provisions to hook up 2..... is this normal?
