    • My friend recently wrecked his car and is looking for one of these...what kind would you recommend? a 4wd or RWD? Four or Six cylinder?

      • That's a good question.

I'll break it down a little bit for you.

The 4wd is a GREAT truck. A really good friend of mine has a 96 4wd on street all-terrain tires and it will still take you literally anywhere that you could find yourself. I love it.

I really really really like my KA24 four cylinder but the VG30 six cylinder is more desirable just because they are usually affiliated with more options on the actual truck. Power is definitely not a major factor for either one of those motors (there's not much between them) so I wouldn't make that a selling point either way.

RWD is definitely more fun IMO because you can get them stupid low on the cheap (what I did) and really have fun with them very easily. Plus they're a hair faster because of the weight deal.

The biggest thing about these trucks is the single cab versus the king cab. Single cab trucks came with a bench seat that isn't very comfortable. King cab trucks came with two bucket seats, a center console, ample leg room, usually more options (such as power mirrors), little flip-down seats for your groceries and little windows to help cut down blind spots. The only thing is that King Cabs usually go for a lot more money.

I hope that helped some. If you have any more questions, feel free to ask. I know too much about these silly trucks haha.

        • The wheels look clean man! Looking forward to the "second wave" of mods.
The only thing lower than my standards is my truck.

                • Oh yeah, I put my horn button in finally. And no, that's not a high idle, just warm-up mode.
