so finally got my brackets in and started making progress. Needless to say I was very disappointed in the quality of the "machined to fit" brackets. Ended up having to take a file to open enough to make it work, next time I'm just going to find a machine shop locally to do it.

next was opening up the stock holes

    good fit.

    and welded

and in no time it was back together, I held off on replacing the axles for now because I'm itching to get the car back on the ground.

still a ways to go, seems like every time I look at the car there is something else worn out or broken. Gets old, but soon as the car is solid I should finally be putting on bags and the gotti's. At the same time I just enjoy driving the car which is why I'm putting back together till I can stockpile parts again.

Looks very nice and classy. I love your way of rebuilding things, instead of just replacing them. Only thing I kinda don't feel, is that e34 bumper in the back... It just doesn't fit the overall look of the car. That and some nice wheels would make it perfect in my opinion.

I can tell you, I've seen Sherman more times than I can count and this is one impressive ride.

Keep up the good work Budski, can't wait to see Sherman out for the upcoming Low Junk Bash!

not terribly special, I've been hit with short funds due to buying a new house... but no fear he'll be back on the road by spring.

how about some painting? well got the trailing arms done

and the subframe, hope to press in bushings soon.

and got these ordered to fix my rear toe from being so low, make it less hairy going down the highway.

Thanks for the info man! I'll be going to the junkyard soon to try and fine one. I'm just worried it will look too big with the is front air dam.

lucky for you I had the bumper off tonight, so here is a peek.

you need the e28 bumper shocks, e34 bumper w/brackets, and e34 bumper cover.

so I took the e34 bumper brackets and used washer as spacers to raise it up high

then you drill new holes to mount the bumper which required cutting the opening for it a bit more

then trim the bumper cover to fit and attach. Right now its attached to the bumper using the OEM clips and ziptied at the wheel wells.

    and that's it.

other progress today was getting the air compressor moved to the garage, still need to wire it in but I'm glad to have it and should help a lot with making headway

    and painted the diff.
