Well, after months of waiting for engine parts, the engine is put back together with fresh JE pistons and IE Tuscan rods plus everything else. Going back in the car tomorrow and should be on the road for break-in miles starting Tuesday.

Since I mostly lurk Stanceworks to look at all of the pretty cars, my entire build thread is in the 2.5L engine forum on vortex. So if power is your fancy, check it out there: http://forums.vwvortex.com/showthrea...286AT%29/page2

love the build. still sticking with the auto?

The auto in my mkv started getting very problematic. Valve body got replaced once and still had a slip and occasional bump. A few months before I sold it I started getting an occasional 2-3 flare. Eventually said the hell with it and sold the car.

Hopefully yours will treat you much better, looks like it already is. lol.

^ Thanks! Yea I'm keeping the auto. I thought long and hard about doing a 6 speed swap, but decided instead to fortify the transmission with Level10 torque converter, valve body, and TCM software. It should handle loads of power now, but we'll see how she's working after a few thousand miles of abuse
