so? dude, it's a 6-cylinder diesel, delete the muffler(s) and no-one wil ask how many horses you got... it's all about attitude put some 265's in the rear and roll like a boss..

My stock shocks are doing great. But I have to say I haven't tried anything else.
I cán say it corners pretty well and stays very horizontal on clover-leaf junctions etc.
As far as the comfort goes, it's still much more comfortable than a stock bmw e36...

Bwhahaha! That would be quite interesting. Next set of wheels will be more aggressive, just found my daily shoes for now.

So I may just go with b&g springs. Do you know anything about the bump pads?

what do you want to know about the spring pads? i run my w124 coupe without any spring pads...

Thanks, I was wondering is it safe to run with out spring pads? For example the springs to rest on bare metal when they are removed are they?

as far as I know, they are only fitted on top, on the bottom it's just metal on metal. I left mine on. I mean; MB fitted them for a reason...
If you really want to go lower, buy shorter springs or search the forum for the e36-coilover conversion....

I'm removing my pads next week, having my fenders rolled and pulled Friday. Alot of MB guys ride no pads it makes the ride a little rougher from my understanding.

I think I may just get the shortest bump pads accordingly so that the car isn't too raked. I think b&g springs is what I'll be going for about a 1.5 inch drop. Have heard of guys running them but can't seem to find a picture.

pads are 1bump front 2 bump rear
I rolled without them pads before on longer springs
and I am itching to take them out now

Did you notice a difference in ride with the pads removed? Do w202 springs go lower?

I'm on Eibach racing springs, thinking about going to w202 springs.
They seem to go about a 3" drop.

Lowered on b&g with 1.5 inches of failzzz. Lol

It's about 1 inch lower in the front with stock pads and 2 inches lower in the rear with bump pad 1.

I really want to go another inch or so, but that won't happen for a good while, at least until I need new struts or front end rebuild. Struts probably will happen soon though and when that does I'll probably cut a coil on the springs and remove all pads.
