For anyone who is interested in what the Haltech ECU Manager Software looks like, I had some time to play with my layouts today and this is what I ended up with.

The gauges are dim right now because I do not have my laptop connected to the ECU in my car, when connected they light up. This is also a demo map from an Evo and not my actual fuel base map.

I got it running on friday and have been breaking it in for the last 120 miles. Friday I did 0 boost, low to mid rpms. Saturday I did 5psi low - 6k rpms. and today I did 10psi revving to 6500rpm.

I am meeting with my tuner tomorrow to make some adjustments and maybe bump it up to 18psi.

Even made it to a local get together on Saturday.

So far I got about 200 miles on the car and things are going great. Only had one issue, the other morning on the way to Full Blown I lost all power and the car shut off so I pulled to the side of the road. I first sh*t my pants, then pulled myself together and checked oil, coolant, and under the car, everything was good. So then I looked at the cheap distribution block I have for the battery relo, and noticed it spark when I touched it. Thankfully it was that and not something wrong with the engine, so I called up Dustin and he kindly drove over with some tools and we switched the ports on the battery block. Good as new.

I then went to Full Blown and Justin hopped in to do some street tuning to make sure everything was okay before continuing the break in with added boost. Justin added a little more fuel up top, but other than that everything was fine, I am now starting to boost to 15psi. I will stay at 15psi for the next several hundred miles and then start to bump it up before hitting the dyno again.

          Then.

Broke down again today, same reason, but thankfully this time I was still in my driveway.

          Solution:

          Step 1:

          Step 2:

          Step 3:

          Step 4:

Great solution Sir. You are a scholar.

pretty sweet build, never a fan of the audi until recently. The solution to your problem was so simple, yet only a chevy guy would've had the right tool for it.

I'm not poor or dumb enough to drive a chevy.

ROFL this just made my friday morning , Thanks. PS: your build is tits. My brother has the exact same car he wants to do a big turbo, GTrs but we are reluctant without replacing the rods .He read up on these AEB motors and i guess the rod is the weak link for going BT. Any thoughts / opinions on this matter? Big turbo on stock internals possible ?

love the solution to your distribution block issue!

AGU Fuses and fuse holders should be banned!

Love the work on the engine! Bet it's buckets of fun to drive!

He is right, AEB blocks came with forged pistons from the factory, but the rods are the weak point.

I always suggest to anyone thinking about going BTa4, either invest about 7k into it and go all out for high numbers. Or, pick up a used APR stage III setup for around 2k. APR Stage III is a direct 28rs bolt on kit that does not (require) internal modifications. It should put you somewhere around 300whp. Not much, but its what you get for the $$.
