      • FINALY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! God i've been wating for a propper update and every time i got notifications i thought "Yes finaly" but no. So now i'm super happy because those rims came out looking outstanding, i like that you dedicated 6hrs to each rim, why? Because that shows the dedication you got for this project! Oh and good luck with the shop.

Thanks man, I try to do my best with every little project I take on. This makes everything take twice as long, but it's worth it to me. Expect more updates soon!

Actually I'm usually not really a fan of black wheels either. I was pretty nervous to do the RM's in all satin black, but now I'm super happy that I did. Also I think it's kind of a refreshing change from normal colored faces and polished lips.

                  • double plastic bag on each bolt, and the socket still worked?

                    Wheels are sexy for sure!

Yep, it fit perfect with the double wrap. The powder coaters purposely put a pretty light coat on the bolt heads so the socket would still fit, as powder coat is quite thick.

That reminds me, I forgot to mention another reason why the refinish took so long. With powdercoat being so thick, when I got them back, the lips didn't fit on the faces anymore. I spent hours with a very thin chisel slowly chipping away the powdercoat on the sides of the faces and the inner parts of the lips so they would fit. I had to be cautious not to chisel too high or it would show with the lips on. That took forever, and I had to be super careful, glad that's over!

I'm honestly doing the same on a set of gottis for my 02. I have 3 of th 4 done but it takes forever. I have been just sitting in my living room and watching a movie per wheel and going at it with a file. Now I know for next time though.

I have not. I called them a few days ago to see what the deal was and they hadn't shipped one out yet. The lady said she'd ship one out ASAP so hopefully it's on the way.

Yeah I spent like 1-2 hours per wheel, took forever. Never letting that happen again haha. I wanna see these Gotti's!
