Meh just do it all yourself. Chances are the pro will do something that you won't like and you'll punch yourself for not doing it all.
You can always do it once, then doing it again in a year or so

yup, this is pretty much exactly how I have been feeling, as much as i want it to be a show car and look amazing theres no way my garage job will be that, so instead im just focusing on the best i can do at this point and make ill have the cash for professional work down the road

I want more shaving done and welding is the only way. Its a long term idea.

I wouldn't feel right painting your car. I've gotten better, but good enough to take on a car of the caliber. As far as you wanting to do it yourself, its all in the base/prep work and the polish. Laying down the paint is the easy part.
