I really respect how you've repaired this car properly, putting in the work to restore it to its original quality. I'm looking forward to how it turns out, don't ruin it!

I am about 1950.00 into it...

          300.00 for the car
          500.00 for the paint
          bodywork free
          labor free
          parts 800.00
          additional tools 200.00
tax title and license 150.00 LOL!!

I have been living on Ebay and Autohaus to source my parts... also there are tons of salvage yard here in Houston..

This is the first BMW that I have owned... I am amazed on how simple they are to work on.. The engineering stack-up on most of the parts are designed to be replaced fairly easily. I love the smoothness of the ride and these M50 engines are awesome!!! great torque curve and with the manual trans, They really can get going!!!

I really want to completely build this car out for under 3 grand... that is including the Wheels and tires once I find some that fit my style and budget...

I was bored this weekend so I picked up some new strut inserts and top mounts and ..

                could not help myself...

just curious to see what it would look like... it actually rides much better this way... still getting the coilover configuration down.. will build my own very soon....

You sir, must be a wizard. I used to have a 91 535i and it was probably the best car I ever owned.

got the battle axe on the rack and had the hangers for the exhaust all replaced.. had a sqeaking noise that was driving me nuts....

while it was up there, I got a good look at what all I need to address down under...

looks like I need to replace upper control arms

anyone have any experience with BC RACING FULL COILOVERS??
                            like this:

and I would recommend KIDO coilovers, they are better built then NEX and have camber plates up in front.
