Checked to see how the brown bench will fit. Fits pretty well. Gonna have to make something up to keep the seats in place though. Shouldn't be too hard.




Painted up the rocker cover and the cam belt cover. Love the finish that high temp paint gives. So smooth. Almost like powdercoat.



Anyone got a spare jetta rear small bumper? Looks like mine used to have a tow bar on it and weighs a ton. Cut someone has cut the bar off. Could I use a golf bumper iron?



And does anyone know what order/position the dash switches go in the dash from the factory?

Thanks guys! The brown interior is quite rare.
I have been told the same about the switches on a couple of other forums. So that it right.

I put the Sound deadening in the doors and fitted new vapor barrier. Need to wait for the car to be painted before i put the drivers door vapor barrier on so I can get the window trim back on.




And I chipped away some rust and put some anti rust stuff on it while I'm waiting to get the car painted and I get a chance to chop out the worst of the rot like on the boot where the two ends of the rubber meet there is a hole. All the doors had this aswell. A bit of rust on the sill where the door rubbers meet. And a small hole on one of the front wings arch. But still not bad at all.




I need to repair the lower corners of the rear arches as well. But its really not that back. Its only the inner lip and bottom that has gone. So really good for a mk2.

I might be able to start putting the brown interior in tomorrow. But not sure if I should wait till after I get the car painted?

Nah I think it only came in cars painted gold. Sort of special edition I guess.

Anyone got a spare bumper hanger for a small rear Jetta bumper?
They aren't the same as the big bumper ones. I've checked.



And I checked to see if a Golf bumper iron is the same as a Jetta one. It is luckily.
