what can I say, I like my wheel options. My wifes audi TT 225 has 255-35-18's all around for hella grip on the turns. I will be also getting some 15x4 et gasser wheels in the future as well for the older crowd.

This is what I like to hear. I love me some fatty tires. hell I had 255s on my Audi a4 for a whileOriginally posted by octobeak View PostThanks for the input but they could look better. I plan on putting the 17x9.5(rear wheels in this pic) in the front with a 245 or 255 tire(those 275's in the front feel too heavy) and buyng some 17x11's for the rear to fit a 315 or a 335 with a mini tub. The 17x7's in the front just tuck way to much, I'm saving them for the ford cause the fit is waaayyy better

Agreed.Originally posted by NeedingAnAudi View PostIf you are going to stretch on that car, it better be a minimum of 285. Skinny tires on a Chevelle is just a sin.

Same car, it was only the surround for the headlight trim around that and grill that changed as far as loOks go. I believe emissions got stricter , making the 1970 the highest hp numbers. In fact the 70 had only a few more differences as well. The fenders had turn signals located on them and the rear bumper had different styling. 1968-72 shared a similar chassis.Originally posted by kboers View PostHah the bad part is I actually know the only visual difference between '71 and '72 Chevelle is the turn signals because we parked my dad's '72 next to a '71 and walked around the cars 3 times looking for a difference. Just a random question though, were the front clips identical besides the strip in middle or were their size differences?

I want to see this thing smashing gears with the tires alight.

You would think huh? The fact is the tires are 10mm over stock width, these cars came as a base with 195-75-14 bias plys(E78 x 14B was its proper designation) it was on a 5.5" rim however... I realise 205's on a 10" is ridickulous but I had a chance to drive it with the new rolling stock up front and it cleared, just barely. Under full lock with 5 inches of drop already with a possible 2 more to go i'm going to need that sloped shoulder in the front to clear the already rolled out fenders.Originally posted by Minty_Fresh View Post205's on that big ass car. damm.Last edited by octobeak; 02-01-2012, 08:20 AM.
