How are you planning to brace the hood? I think you could bead roll a shape the same size of the hood, avoiding the vents, that would give it enough strenght not to bent @ high speed.

The hood is already very strong thanks mainly to the pressed shape, I will fibreglass the edge of the frame back to the skin and offer support there...

Looking good mate. I may have skipped the post, but did you figure out your color scheme? Also how are you mounting the SR?

Its a suprise Use the rotary subframe, rx7 power steering rack and some custom mounts.

So got the finger out and finished off the vents, one or two bits to pick in but happy enough with how it turned out, must reinforce the frame underneath next, the pressed rotary shape has added strength to the skin and with the fibreglass vents flex should be minimal...

Haven't done a whole pile recently, been busy with other shite, was bored one of the nights so I had an AE86 TRD spoiler lying around so went at it with an angle grinder, I reckon a bit of shaping and it should look mint

Not yet, been busy with other things

I just had a spare hour last night so I cut away the underneath of the bonnet, I left the bulk section at the front for strength but also I cut it on either side, bent it back and bonded it to the skin, it now allows the vents to work properly, I will tidy it all up once I get a chance as it is very rough atm...

They are behing the bonnet in the last pic for teasers sake LoL Car is away now getting cage in a different part of the country. Bout 100miles or so away, should be back next month !
