5x4.25" and 5x108 are for all intents and purposes identical.

The problem you're running into is that your jeep wheels are 5x4.5, aka 5x114.3.

Adapters can be had, but they're going to make your already pokey wheels super pokey-poke.

they didnt measure out to be 4.5 inches they measured out to be just over 4.25, seeing as i said if they were 5x4.25 they would fit. i know that .05 of a mm is not that big of difference. but they are not 4.25 they are just over that. not 4.5 and not 4.25, in the middle. im not trying to be an asshole and sorry if im coming off as one i just wanna get it straight ya know cause i thought it was very odd that they did not fit seeing as they measured juuuuuuuust over 4.25 or 108mm.

sorry im just frustrated cause i love these wheels and i think they would look uber pokalicious on me 240.

I dont use bolts on my 244 : ( im sad now cause i think if i had holes and used bolts then this would totally be a viable option. i think it would be to much work to change to that type of hub set up just to use wobble bolts anyways. it would be cheaper to adapt whiiiiiiich it looks as though i might have to now.

that is if i cant redrill new bolt pattern to these. i dont think they have enough surface area for that

Oh btw these wheels are 15 x 8.5 et -28 : )

Well this is a 18x10 +20 with a 1.25" ebay(bad idea) adapter on front and rear. The rear didn't really poke and the front had about 15-20mm of poke. This is with no camber in the fronts or fender roll/pull. I hope this help gets thing in perspective et +20+(-32)= et-12? so 18x10 -12?

Dont want to sound like a jerk but you must've measured wrong. Those wheels were 5x4.5 if they were definitely on a jeep. Thats pretty much the only bolt pattern jeep uses. Some older models used a large 5.5" circle but that wouldnt have been close. If those wheels were really 5x4.25 (which ive neer heard of) then they wouldve bolted up. Its unfortunate that they didnt fit though. I've always wondered what a american racing outlaw style wheel would look like on sedan.

No I think he's saying if you change to a brake setup from another vehicle like a junkyard swap then you are essentially swapping bolt patterns.

Yeah true! like a bmw e28 or something like that. the only issue is the rear of 240s volvos are solid rear axles.So, he would still need adapters or redrill the hubs

Not sure of the hub bolt pattern but vw's have been using solid rear axles through a number of bolt pattern changes. Plus a nice rear disk conversion can never hurt. Assuming volvo followed suit with the time period and fitted the 240's with rear drums
