Damn, great looking Bimmer for sure. I've always had a soft spot for e39s, especially in that Montreal blue. The 19's look good, as does the lip spoiler. Keep it up!

Thanks!

I finally decided that I had had enough of my cheap ebay tails and ponied up and bought some Hella Celis tails from the company Schmeidmann located in Germany. I was amazed how fast I got them as well, I ordered them Tuesday and the were here today before noon!
I thought it was an awesome deal really, I got the brand new tails, ballasts, a kit to mount the ballasts in the spare tire well and clear sidemarkers all for a little over $300 shipped.
The package:
The install was overall pretty easy, just had to drill new mounting holes and bang the metal a bit to make the tails fit.
Half way through:
All done!
Some night shots:
This is by far one of my favorite mods so far, it really changed the look of the back of the car for the better!

The car kept getting a lot of air in the cooling system and I knew the head gasket needed to be replaced and since I didn't have time to get into it myself I dropped it off at my indy's shop.
They found that the radiator was cracked and the water pump was leaking along with the head gasket, awesome haha. The car has had a new rad and water pump put in and is currently getting the head gasket replaced along with s52 cams, and raceland headers with a cat delete.
Pic of the headers in case you don't know what they look like:

Update!
Well I had know for awhile that my head gasket was leaking out the back of block, I just kinda dealt with having to top up the coolant occasionally but I had grown tired of. So I figured I'd go all out and have a bunch of work done to the car.
I would've liked to do the work myself but with school, college golf and work I just didn't have the time. The work was done at Moonlite Motorwerks in Gilbertsville, Pa. They've done other work on my car before and they've come to be my favorite indy shop to take my car to, the prices aren't bad either.
List of new parts/work done:
new head gasket
vanos rebuild
s52 cams
raceland headers
all new seals in the top end of the engine
radiator
water pump
thermostat and housing
timing chain guide rails (they were very brittle, a ticking time bomb I'd say)
cam and crank sensors
The shop also cleaned as much of the carbon out of the engine as possible as they said there was quite a bit.
As far as the s52 cams and raceland headers go, I'm very satisfied with both! The shop said there was no problem installing the headers and the cams dropped in fine. I can definitely feel more power compared to before, especially in the upper rpm range. It also sounds much better, more like an s52 because of the cams, it's definitely more throating sounding but its still completely bearable for everyday driving.
Here's a video, sorry for the cell phone quality but my camera died on me. I'll take a better video soon and update the thread. (skip to 1:15 to hear my car again)
Here's an updated video
