Control arm. Although, the exhaust was dropped in that pic also.

Damn son! You defenitely know how to use a fender roller! Great job, hands down.

Fitment looks great now. Nice car, nice wheels, nice color - what more can i say?

Thanks! I've had some practice over the years.

Getting prepped! All I'm waiting on is the AccuAir, and at that point I'll start to post pics/explanations of the various steps of the install. It's amazing how much less there is to do when working with the VU4 manifold. I used to have 150 fittings that made up my valve blocks, wiring to each relay, wiring to each pressure sensor, power, ground and ignition running from nearly every corner of the damn car.

For the first time ever, I'm looking forward to an air ride install! lol All of the below prep ideas came from my best friend. He did this on his Charger, and it came out great, so I'm replicating it on the S. I've changed my plans on the install some, as I was originally going with the eXo mount from Viair. After some serious thought, I don't want to hack up the trunk just to display some mechanical looking air ride components. If I'm truly going to keep things clean, I want to conceal everything. Having said that, I want everything below the spare tire cover to be as clean as possible.

Laying out the compressors and 5 gallon tank to check for clearance:

Cardboard template to help with the final cuts on the 1/2" balsa:

Taking Brian's lead, I laid out plastic to fill the lower reservoir with foam to level everything out to ensure the board that the compressors sit on doesn't flex:

I wrapped the template so I could lay it on top of the foam before it cured to press it down into the contours of the spare tire floor:

                Setup and ready to cure:

I still need to wrap the spare tire well in carpet, as well as the board that I'll be mounting the compressors/e-Level brain/VU4 manifold to. I've since unwrapped the foam and trimmed it to fit the board.

Here's a pic with the foam trimmed and board wrapped. I'm going to do all black in the spare tire well instead of the mixed gray carpet. There's enough black carpet on the top and sides of the 2012's to tie in well. Most won't see this open anyway, but I'll know it's there.

Getting down to some of the details. I'm going to flush mount the AccuAir brain into the floor with the harnesses facing through the bottom. This will keep the surface looking clean without the various wires running all over the place. The VU4 manifold will be mounted on top of the board, but will have a 2" run of hose into a 90 degree bulkhead that takes the air lines down under the false floor. Once again, just trying to keep things clean. This current board will most likely be sacrificed on a test fit.

This gives you an idea of the basic tank/compressor layout. This will pretty much be the final look, but with the AccuAir units flushed/mounted in the center. I'm going to buy my pipe bender/flare tool/fittings to start working on the hardlines, but for the mock-up and test runs, I'll be using the flexible line and the stainless Viair leader lines you see pictured. Getting rid of the leader lines alone will clean things up nicely. I really wanted to see how I liked the layout prior to going the hardlines route, and it'll give me something to do when I get bored a week after having this installed. :panic:

                  More updates coming soon!

I wasn't going to have enough clearance at the bottom of the false floor to run the wiring/hoses with the way I had it sitting before. I've put the carpeted board directly on the floor, and cut out the center to create a box that can give me the needed room to bring in my bulkheads/harnesses. I wanted to make it as large as I could to ensure I had room to run the hoses without any kinking issues. I'll be wrapping all of the bare metal in the well in black carpet, as well as the box that sits on top of the false floor after I cut out the area to flush mount the e-Level brain.

Just waiting on the AccuAir! The delivery is set for Friday, so hopefully I can get some pics of it laid out sometime this weekend.

First time with fronts and rears. It'll tuck all the way to the lip, but I'll save those pics for when the car's back on the ground.

                        Final rear fitment:

I wish my SRT never saw any snow, this thing comes apart much easier. Out with the junk:

Here's the front fitment with the lip completely flush with the fender:

awesome build! Nothing better than working on brand new cars, everything comes loose so easily!

Agreed! I've never only had to hit the ball joint once for it to fall apart. It usually takes some good hits or a puller to separate it. Now hopefully everything goes back together as smoothly as it's come apart.
