  • sick management.... Can't you just put some filters inline to prevent water from collecting (air noob ps)
    Also how is the water suppose to drain if the fitting is facing upwards?

    • Beautiful car, beautiful work. You have great taste.

      I would had loved to keep my 07 Magnum and bag it, but tasteful wheels/tires this big are a bit out of price range right now. I can't pay to play like you do!

      Loved the old ride, love the new one. Keep up the good work of showing people not all Magnum/Chargers/300s are ghetto rollin' deuce-deuce swag mobiles.

        pressure from the tank should evacuate all the water.
        or at least i think it should. i'll let the air magicians fully explain that one.

          There are water traps that go in line between the tank and the manifold, but in running them for years, I had maybe a drop or two of water after a number of months. I've found that using the drain works much better as long as you stay on top of it. As mentioned below, there's 200 psi in the tank that allows the water to blow out of the drain line when opened.

          Thanks very much! I appreciate it. In the past, I may have argued that there are plenty of off the shelf wheels out there that look tasteful, but unfortunately that's become less and less true over the last few years. One exception is Vossen's CV3's that are coming out in about a month for the LX fitment. Beyond those, the rest of the tasteful options seem to be 3 piece.

          I had KMC Dimes on my first 300, but it's all in how you pull the car together. I think you can make a one piece cast wheel work, but it just takes some planning when dealing with the typical 22" offering.

          • Here are a few shots of the AG Forged wheels I'm going with. These are the traditional convex profile centers mounted in high polish step lips. As I mentioned, my spokes will protrude out into the first step to achieve the concave look, and the centers will be slightly depressed. They haven't cut any of that configuration though, so no pictures yet. Mine will be the first set of this style done in a concave configuration.

            • So I should have some updates in the coming weeks as the wheels come along. They'll probably mostly be teasers of my buddy's set, but I'll be living vicariously through him until mine are cut.

              I finally added some dump lines that exit the back of the trunk. I didn't like having the air just dump into the trunk, as you could smell the old air/rubber smell inside the cabin when I laid the car out. I mirrored the feed lines to keep it as clean as possible. The copper lines run down to the bottom of the spare tire well, and then I have soft line that takes it to the exit near the back of the battery. It's a little louder now, but no where near as loud as my 1/2" lines with no slow downs was. It's just the right amount to hear it airing out, but not so much that you make people dive into bushes when you lay the car out.

              I was also able to get my nitrogen installed again. I had to add a fitting to the tank, as the PTC I was using before ended up being another feed line to the manifold. A single feed line proved to be too slow filling up all of the bags leaving a stop light. For someone who plays with the switches as much as I do, there's no way I was going to be left stranded when the light clicked over to green.

              • I'm prepping for the new wheels to get here, and I finally took care of the collar that was holding the fronts up on my 2nd gen. Here's a quick iPhone picture rundown:

                Aired out before (my buddy said I could get lower on springs, we both knew something wasn't right lol):



                Hacked off the collars on the front bottom brackets:



                Put some gloss black paint to seal them up a bit:



                Mounted them back on the bag:



                Gained just short of 2" drop in the front. With the 21 x 10's up front, it won't even be able to go this low, but I still wanted to ensure it was setup correctly:



                For reference, here's the hats installed before I cut the collar off. I could trim the stock hat as well, but it's already resting on the inner fender, so that's not going to do me any good at this point:

                • A quick shot of AG Forged 19" step lip. Just imagine another 6" of inner barrel inside the step. Can't wait!



                  I've recently hard lined the remaining four lines going out from the manifold to each bag. The way I had it setup, it was extremely difficult to ensure the lines were secure leading from my bulkheads to the manifold (resulting in some minor leaks). I also had some exposed wiring because it wouldn't all fit under the false floor with the way I had the soft line run. It's not close to complete, and I'm fully aware that it looks much busier than when I had the four lines under the false floor, but this makes my life much easier in regards to disassembly and maintenance. Everything's neatly tucked under the false floor now as well. I'll take some finished pics once I polish all of the lines and get the trunk back together.

                  I also made a new lid and re-carpeted the box so it didn't have those random holes from the very first phase. Still very much a work in progress:

                  • Here's a shot of all the lines polished and the trunk put back together. I also got rid of all the excess teflon tape that was showing on the fittings, and removed the compressor decals as well.

                        • We'll be doing a full video shoot when the wheels get here, but I just wanted to post up a quick video of AccuAir's auto rise feature. This is me remote starting the car, and the AccuAir e-Level taking it to my #2 ride height. If I'd thought about it, I would've taken pics of each one of my settings, but I'll do that when the 21's get here.
